4.0 out of 5 stars A fun read 16 January 2017

This is a fun story with quirky characters and a few misunderstandings, one of which happened years ago, and caused a lot of pain for both protagonists.

In this story, Paige has finally overcome her undeserved reputation, and Sterling has finally quit fighting his parent's plans for him to take over the furniture factory that has been in his family for years. They meet again many years after a painful misunderstanding sent both of them away.

This story has well-developed characters as well as a character or two that you will enjoy disliking. The story had some tense moments as well as some angst, and it kept me interested. I'm curious to read the next story in this duo; however, each story stands alone.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved It 27 January 2017
By TinFL - Published on Amazon.com

This story had me at page 1. Paige and Sterling have had more than one reason through the years to give the other a wide berth when visiting their hometown. While they each build a life for themselves, ironically one in Carolina and the other on the West coast, neither has the slightest desire to get sucked back into the small town soap opera they hoped to leave well in the past. Nor can either bring themselves to abandon the family they love.
From Paige's struggle to cope with her mother's mental health issues to her father's alcoholism and questionable lifestyle, her brother's seeminly passion to carry on a devastating family tradition, she wonders at her own sanity at being unwilling to just walk away. Sterling, the golden boy son who seemingly has it all, has for all intents and purposes shaken off the bonds of the hometown dramas to build his own successful business clear across the country.
A family health crisis, again, forces Paige to make a short return home at the same time Sterling is visiting his parents on family business. An unplanned encounter leads to confrontations and circumstances neither could have anticipated.
Both will have to find their own way through a maze of unforseen emotional dramas, family ties, small town life and criminal implications. When an unknown enemy threatens Paige's life, both families must decide how to put aside new and old secrets to save the ones they love and the safety and security of the entire home town. Paige and Sterling must once and for all determine how to deal with their increasing attraction for each other and how, if at all, they can have or want more.
I loved Ms Collins ability to introduce characters who are perfectly imperfect. I found myself cheering on the most unlikely suspects. Truly an authentic love story with family drama most anyone could find in their own family closet led me through a thoroughly enjoyable story. An unexpected twist leads to an interesting conclusion. My favorite work from Ms Collins yet. Can't wait to read the next related story and see where and how the family drama continues.
5.0 out of 5 stars Romance with a touch of mystery 16 January 2017
By Michelle K. - Published on Amazon.com

“Not in Her Wildest Dreams” is the story of two teenagers, Sterling and Paige, who enjoy a few moments of passion until her father breaks them up. Sterling’s mother believes Paige is from the wrong family and ushers him off to college to avoid further involvement with her. Paige remains in Liebe Falls being harassed and ridiculed by the gossips of the small town until she too leaves. Years pass and they both return to town successful in their careers. They find themselves in a situation where they have to work together. The old feelings and intense sexual tension is still between them but can they work through the misunderstandings and hurts from the past in order to find happiness?

Although, my summary reads like a typical romance novel, this book truly is different. Throughout the story, there is an undercurrent of mystery. Is there someone trying to hurt Paige in order to destroy a relationship with Sterling or is there a business secret they don’t want found? How far will they go? Who could it be? Dani Collins creates an amazing storyline with well developed characters. Even the secondary characters are complex which will make it very easy to transition into the second book in the series, “Only In His Sweetest Dreams”. I’m anxiously awaiting the next book!

4.0 out of 5 stars No in Her Wildest Dreams 30 January 2017
By romanticreadsandsuch - Published on Amazon.com

I have to say this one really didn’t go the way I guessed it would. But that isn’t necessarily a bad thing :) I thought that Paige and Sterling’s aborted romance – the whole wrong side of the tracks thing – would have been a bigger deal than it turned out to be. I mean, yes it did leave some scars, as most traumatic childhood events do, but there is so much more to their problems than that.

Thanks to a screwy childhood, Paige is an enabler and spends way too much energy trying to fix everything for her loved ones. Which means that she somehow finds herself back in the small town that she grew up in, trying to make everything right, and having to face a lot of her demons … including Sterling.

Sterling is also is dealing with family issues thanks to his parents. He’s got one of those moms – overbearing, manipulative, all about appearances and wearing blinders. And she’s pushing him to move home to run the family business. He’s got his own bones to pick with people in the town and being in such close quarters is sure to stir things up.

I get why Paige is so hesitant to get involved again – it is horrible what she went thru at such an impressionable age – but I have to admire Sterling for sticking with her. He’s not perfect, which is on display with his relationship with his parents and the fight that is still going on with Paige’s brother, but he’s truly a good guy.

I like these two and I enjoyed all of their crazy friends & family. Not to say that all of them are likeable, but they are fun to read and help keep the pages turning. All of the hurt feelings, family drama, and personal issues are dragged out & put on display.

Secrets are revealed, the truth finally comes out, and some demons are laid to rest … all in a days work for a small town full of drama.

5.0 out of 5 stars All Round Fabulous Story 16 January 2017

Format: Kindle Edition
I love MS Collins stories they always leave me smiling and this one is an all round fabulous story with lots of characters that add to Paige and Sterling's journey lots happening that will keep you turning those pages and of course there is another book to follow which really makes me smile.

Paige Fogarty has come back to the small town she grew up in Liebe Falls her father has had another heart attack and he is under pressure to sell his share of the local furniture company Roy's Furnishings that helps keep this town going to his partner and there is a lot going on with all of the people that work in the factory and when Paige's high school crush Sterling Roy is in town as well things heat up.

Sterling has arrived home because his mother has pushed him to return things look like changing in the family business and they need Sterling to make sure it goes well and that the Fogarty's don't change their minds but there is a lot of water under the bridge between Sterling and Paige and it doesn't look like it is over yet can they work closely together and bring the company around.

This story has a lot going on a mystery, embezzlement, affairs and secrets that have been held for a long time Paige has lived under the Fogarty reputation that has been strong for years her brother Lyle has problems as well and then there is the Roy family pillars of society or are they. MS Collins has bought this town and its characters to life in such a fabulous way the story is riveting and so very very good and I am really looking forward to Lyle's story.
