Product Description

Neve Colvin isn't good enough. As an introvert, her life is a never-ending list of labels and criticism. Pressures to change come from everyone--including the one person she thought would love her unconditionally ... her mother. All Neve wants is acceptance, but surrounded by extroverts it's a wish that's nearly impossible to fulfil.

For Neve there's only one solution: anyone disapproving must go. Even if it means only one person will remain.

That person is her lifelong friend Blake Reynolds. He's seen the fights with her mum, the breakdowns caused by attacks on her personality, and the battles for acceptance. Each time she is left shattered and questioning who she is, he's the one to collect the pieces of her broken heart. Shielding her from the cruelty is his only concern. But how can he protect her when Neve is concealing a secret so dark?

Blake thinks he knows everything about her, and with their relationship developing, he assumes Neve trusts him fully. However, there is one memory Neve is too ashamed of to share. Revealing it will test Blake's loyalty beyond what she could ever ask, and Blake is the only friend she can't afford to lose. He's the one person capable of dragging her from the darkness plaguing her, but with pressures to conform increasing, even Blake may not be enough to pull her back this time.

Not Enough is a full-length, standalone contemporary romance. It is written in British English with British spelling and grammar.
Due to some strong language it is recommended for 17+ readers.

3.0 out of 5 stars Just ok 23 January 2016

SPOILERS....I read the book in one night because I kept trying to figure out what the big secret was she was keeping from Blake. I guessed in the prologue what it could be, but was like, "no it can't be that easy". ."something" happend to make Neve the way she was, very depressed suicidal ideation...that was it???? I thought it was going to be something else. No haters please...I could not stand her witch of a mother and her mean family. I did like Blake and Robbie (they are not the gay friends) ...but even w/ those two uplifting characters, the book was just ok....Sorry, did not do it for me.

2.0 out of 5 stars not for me... too weak characters and poor story 17 February 2016

the story is not all bad, but the female main character is simply too weak, all the time desperate and insecure and the guy doing notthing more than reassuring her the whole book.
It didn't work for me,although some parts were ok to read.

2.0 out of 5 stars Disappointing 25 January 2016

The main character was quite unlikable and judgmental. Listening to her complain at the age of 21 about having to work in fast food was ridiculous. And anyone who pulls out a kindle at a wedding deserves to have someone be rude to them.

3.0 out of 5 stars A great idea for a story... 23 December 2016

This story was such a great idea! There are a lot of introverted people out there (myself included) who are often misunderstood as shy or anxious or even snobby. So, I loved that this topic was addressed! Another great thing about Not Enough was Blake. He was a likeable and realistic character with a lot of depth. What could have used more attention was the depth of Neve' s personality. Though i could easily relate to get emotional struggles as a misunderstood introvert, I found her difficult to like. This was because the other aspects of her personality were rarely addressed. For example, it would've been nice to delve into the creative side of her personality a bit by seeing her interact with a peer or mentor who helped her with her graphic design business, or to see her become invested in a hobby that she enjoyed, or to see her use one of her skills/positive qualities to help Blake out of a man (just as he so often used his skills/good qualities to help her out of jams). This would've helped me to see Never as not just a victim in a bad situation but as a whole person who I could relate to and admire. So, while aspects of Not Enough were amazing, the main character could have been more fully developed.
