In my opinion this is one of the best books this author has written. A very good read from start to finish. It keeps you interested and has a good storyline.

Having just moved to a country town looking for a better life for my family with my own 14 year old daughter in tow I could really relate to this story and thoroughly enjoyed the read. Would highly recommend it

MediocreReviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 November 2017
It's not a bad story per serving, just not a good one either. I felt lukewarm abut the plot and character. It just isn't worth the price. One for the bargain basement only, I think.
really good readReviewed in the United Kingdom on 28 April 2014

The intrigue and Mystery of the life struggles of a young Mother and her Children!!Reviewed in the United States on 8 January 2015
Karly Lane has become another one of my favourite Australian Authors. I have enjoyed all of her books that I have read, and this one is definitely right up there!! Kate was bequeathed "North Star Station" by her Grandfather. This came out of left field and was a lifeline for her and her children Georgia and Liam as they were going through a rough time in the City. Kate packed up her children (much To their horror) and fled the City madness and retreated to North Star Station in the outback, only to discover that the Station had not been stocked or looked after for many, many years. The kids were horrified and acted up. (as kids do) but Kate kept her resolve. A very old school friend arrived to visit from the next door station. Kate began to dream and plan to set the station to rights. I am not going to write any-more as there is lots of Mystery and Suspense and I guarantee you won't want to stop reading!!!
Nice light romanceReviewed in the United States on 2 February 2016
Nice easy read. Some parts are predictable, some aren't. Love a happy ending though! If you are looking for a light romance that is easy to read, then this is for you. I enjoyed the outback feel to it as well, seeing as how I am from Australia. If you are a fan of Karly Lane then you should get this book!
