My copy of John Mayall's "Nobody Told Me" arrived today, so I immediately had to listen to it.
The CD starts off with a cover of Magic Sam's "What Have I Done Wrong?" (1957?) featuring Joe Bonamassa on guitar.
Then we get half a dozen early 90s tunes (and one 2016 Bonamassa number) with help from Larry McCray, Alex Lifeson, Todd Rundgren, Carolyn Wonderland, and Joe Bonamassa.
Mayall ends this new album with a trio of his own compositions, featuring Steven Van Zandt on "It's So Tough" and Carolyn Wonderland on "Like It Like You Do" and "Nobody Told Me."
The guitar work by all the soloists is marvelous, and I look forward to listening to this many times in the future. I highly recommend this album for anyone who likes blues.
