Product Description

At the Sid-Ho martial arts camp, young men and women are trained to kill. Noah is top of his class and is deadly with the lash, a whip that attaches to one's spiked bracer.

Verine, a local villager, comes seeking aid to find her lost children. Noah and his classmate Kailyn are sent to find them. What they find in the bowels of the earth is enough to break even the hardest of warriors.

This is a short story set in the world of The Age of Dawn series.

5.0 out of 5 stars A brief look into a fascinating character 5 June 2017
By Fayd - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This book gives a brief look into the life of a man from the age of dawn series that we previously knew very little of. He is a strong character with a minor roll in the series that leaves (at least for me) a lasting impression. His story is one of strength, loyalty, loss and love. I believe he passes these qualities on to those in his care giving them a solid foundation that helps them move through trials their personal quests throw at them. My only disappointment in this book is that it's not nearly long enough. I was hooked from the beginning and Noah has always been a favored character for me. I strongly recommend reading Noah's breaking before the rest of the series to gain some insight into the children he trained and loved. Everet Martins has a knack for creating fascinating worlds and beloved characters that will stick with you long after you've finished the books. Definitely a favorite for me and I'm proud to have his books among a strong collection of favorites.
4.0 out of 5 stars An great little short story about Noah's character 12 May 2017
By Israel Leon - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
An great little short story about Noah's character. It was cool to see a little of his backstory. Him encountering the Cerumal with Kailyn and Noah grieving her death was sad. Wished it was a little longer and had more time with Noah. Master Caden was very strict and harsh man.
