5.0 out of 5 stars Will Keep the Reader Guessing 11 May 2016

Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Rebecca Benton is a spoiled, independent young woman who plans never to marry. On her way to visit her sister’s home she strays from the coach and is lost in the woods. There she is discovered and rescued by a handsome and powerful “savage”, Sam. For the first time, Rebecca is awakened to her more primitive feelings, try as she might to deny it. But she and the “savage” are destined not to be together. Instead, a neighboring landowner takes a fancy to Rebecca and avidly courts her. Lord Bradford is not to Rebecca’s tastes at all, but in the end she may not have a lot to say about her choice of a mate. What happens after the nuptials will keep the reader guessing.

No Fear in Love is a fun and engaging story with some interesting twists to the plot that I won’t spoil here. The setting and time period details are well researched. The characters are appealing with great chemistry. Some punctuation errors could have been addressed, but didn’t take away from my reading enjoyment. I devoured the story in two days. Highly recommend.
5.0 out of 5 stars as well as a love for the apothecary 3 January 2017

Format: Kindle Edition
Rebecca is a woman who lives by her own rules, with no intentions of backing down.

This particular story begins with Rebecca Beaton; Philadelphia Socialite, as well as a love for the apothecary. When we first meet our heroine, she finds herself lost in the woods of Lancaster County, PA. Whilst upon her journeys, a handsome man, by whom we know as “Sam” rescues her from the dark woods; and escorts Rebecca to her brother-in-law’s and elder Sister (Annabel)’s home. As the story continues, Rebecca has ‘chance encounters’ with Sam, her rescuer from the woods. Her attraction deepens for the mysterious interloper, thus awakens the passions that lay buried within; eventually solidifying her lustful thoughts for her Casanova. The only problem that remains… is her neighbor who also vies for her attention. Lord Alexander Bradford. When our heroine is enticed by her next door Lord, which catapults Rebecca into a difficult decision, all the while unaware his secret.

Lord Alexander Bradford, Architect, Entrepreneur and Rouge.
Our daring hero isn’t all that he appears to be. When Alexander Bradford is cast out of Europe’s polite society for a scandal; he has no choice but to salvage his reputation elsewhere, in America. Fate guides him to Pennsylvania where an old, rundown estate calls his name. In the midst of starting over, he meets his next door neighbors, sassy Rebecca Beaton. As accompanied by her sister Annabel and husband Martin Larson. While Alexander is immediately taken with Rebecca the sassy socialite--on the other hand does not reciprocate his attractions. Our determined hero is driven to extraordinary lengths to make Rebecca his, by any means necessary. His plans to woo’ Rebecca go awry, and in the process, turn both their lives tossed upside-down by societies constricting obligations of marriage. Now Alexander is thrust into a life with a woman who grows to loathe his very being. Alexander is faced with a new challenge to win his wife’s affections while keeping his lustful intentions under wraps.

This is my first story I have read by Leigh Lee. I do enjoy the plot of the story, the Characters, and their personalities. I enjoy the fact that Rebecca, our heroine is still bound by old-world American customs, while at the same time stays true to her beliefs and holds a sharp tongue despite what society dictates her to do. I do enjoy the banter the characters ensue back and forth. And the fact that Alexander likes to pique Rebecca’s ire. I think my favorite word I have found: “Cat-fit” that Alexander describes Rebecca’s out-bursts. The tension is great, it really builds throughout the story and thrusts the characters into awkward predicaments. I love the fact that Alexander supports his wife’s hobbies, and permits her to continue them even after they are married. Which Rebecca’s initial fear was: she would have to give her hobby of apothecary up one she got married, to pursue her husband’s needs. Which was typical at the time. Not to mention that unlike the typical American custom, the husband had the right’s to take his marital rights. Alexander driven by his lust for his wife, he was patient with Rebecca, thus courteous to her needs and fears. The story within itself is great, on the other hand, the one downside for me was: it did tend to last too long, but it did have a great ending that gave me the warm fuzzies. I recommend this story to anyone who is a lover of Historical Romance.

No Fear My Love is a fun read. I was hooked from the first page. The heroine's character was both maddening and likeable. Her interaction with her heroes kept the book moving forward with some interesting twists. Sassy and romantic.
