For games that support Tabletop mode, players can wirelessly connect Joy-Con controllers (sold separately) to Nintendo Switch Lite. If using separate Joy-Con controllers, users will need to have a device to recharge them, such as the Joy-Con Charging Grip. To find play mode compatibility information for specific games, please refer to the product packaging or Nintendo eShop. Just look for the “Handheld mode”.

Before I start my review, I want to say that I am mostly a PC gamer, and the last few years, I have not been gaming as much because of work and family commitments. As I am a huge fan of the Paper Mario series, when I saw that there is a new Paper Mario game on Switch, I knew I had to indulge! So instead of buying the normal NS, I decided to go for the NS Lite as it is portable and I cannot use the home TV much, and the price is lower than the original NS. And oh man, I was in shock how good of a console NS Lite is! It is VERY comfortable and light to hold, the display is very good with vibrant colours, the sounds quality is great, it is as fast as the original, and it looks awesome. One of my colleagues bought one for himself once he saw how pretty this machine is. And then it is worth mentioning how MANY games there are on Nintendo Switch. The library of AAA titles is astounding. The Paper Mario The Origami King runs and looks great on it, I cannot stop going back to play it and complete its different achievements. I also bought 3 racers along with the new Paper Mario, and these 3 are Mario Kart 8, CTR and Sonic Racing. All 3 are running very smoothly on NS Lite and look amazing. I even downloaded Yooka Laylee The Impossible Lair on it to compare it with its PC version - again I was shocked that on NS Lite, the game was feeling better to play. It breaks my mind how a little console as this one, can run games which run on PS4. And sometimes, does it better - Mario Kart 8 is safe to say that it is the best racer. Highly Recommended +++

Only thing to consider is whether to buy the original NS or the NS Lite. This Review is for the Lite

I prefer the lite over the normal switch. The lite controls feels very comfortable. Never going to connect it to the TV. This console is cheaper and lighter to the normal switch. Fast charge. Perfect handheld gaming console.

Great ergonomic design (i.e. easier on the hands than the 3DS), very affordable handheld alternative to the standard Switch model, super easy to pickup and play. Bought in anticipation of Metroid Dread and have now become addicted to the extensive library of indie Metroidvania titles you can purchase from the eshop.

Really great for portable use, great for kids and a cheaper option to the original switch, amazing battery life. Would like to use two player, even when you connect your controller to the switch it only registers as 1st player and not the second. Games such as overcooked work with 2 player but other games such as NBA2k20 don't work.
