Nintendo is refusing to cover this under warranty and requires you to send back a $70 JoyCon (at your cost) to be repaired for $10. I'm using the Switch as a couch system so it never goes into a bag to be damaged. Infuriating and ridiculous that a premium $70 controller has this issue.
Very impressed with the Switch. The transition between docked mode and handheld mode is like nothing i have seen before, very smooth and seamless. The build is very sturdy. We have experienced no issue with it at all and either my son or I have been using it nearly on a daily basis. I do recommend a good screen protector though as i feel the screen might easily get scratched when docking.
My son and I enjoyed this console tremendously. He mainly plays Nintendo first party games and has lots of fun with it. For me it is a little under powered compare to my PS4 Pro but it has become my go-to indie game machine. I have also enjoyed Nintendo exclusive games as well. I'd still prefer play major third party title on more powerful consoles.
All in all, a very impressive console and a good choice for anyone who loves gaming and loves Nintendo games.
The only gripes I have is that the battery life is not as high as I need it to be and the lack of a passcode protection so that I can prevent others from picking up the console and start playing with it
I am not saying that the other games are bad, quite the opposite they are awesome and there are so many options if you consider the free to play games and the Nintendo originals included with the monthly subscription, I have to say that I like this a lot more than my PS3 or even my PC games, the fact that I don't need to sit on an assigned space to play makes it so practical.
