The bowl is perfect for those in-between jobs! I utilize my mini-chopper quite a bit, but sometimes it's just not big enough. However, I end up doing two batches, because the job is also too little to lug out my big food processor! This Ninja NN310 is the perfect middle-man! Except for my largest jobs (like Pioneer Woman's salsa), the Ninja will be the chopper I put to work! The blades are SHARP and powerful! Chopping was fast and even.
Although the bowl is a great size for chopping jobs, I found it a little too small (1 lb) for dough. I rarely make only a 1-crust pie, and my smallest pizza dough recipe is 1-1/2 lbs. I may use the bowl and dough blade occasionally, but it just isn't big enough for the things I make most often.
But, I loved the spiralizer! The included blades for spaghetti or fettucine, are clearly labeled and color coded (in case you want to buy other Ninja noodle discs like Angel Hair, Pappardelle, or Ribbon). The Ninja spriraled my vegetables perfectly! Barely any waste -- just a tiny mushroom like remainder that my kids got a kick out of! And the pile of pretty spirals left behind...! Perfect for veggie noodles, or our favorite: curly fries! So fast and easy!
I was also surprised at the quietness. Ok, no food processor is QUIET. But, for it's speed and power, it's much quieter than both my mini-chopper and full-scale processor! And because it's so quick, the sound is not bothersome.
The vegetable noodles are a godsend for low carb dieters!
