To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on Amazon. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Arrived promptly. Difficult to rate as I’d not had one before. I’ve only used it once and I found it difficult to hold steady and focus on the target. It give me more than one reading, probably of objects behind the flag. I have a GPS watch which also gives distance so I already have some idea of how far I need to hit it so this should give me a bit more accuracy. I will probably use it most on unfamiliar courses where I need a distance to bunkers or water etc.
A great piece of kit. Took a bit of getting used to at first, as I was picking up trees at the back of greens rather than the flag. This was even more so on windy days. I persevered and I am now hitting the flags pretty much every time. Its light and compact, fitting into the hand perfectly, and the view through the lens is crystal clear. I am now finding that my golfing partners who have GPS watches are asking me for distances to the pin A great value for money laser range finder
This is great range finder unfortunately you need a very steady hand to focus on the pin and flag and I have found that it takes me three or four attempts to locate the correct target. I would buy a range finder with stability mode if making the choice again. Hence the drop to a three star rating, otherwise it would be more like a star product.
Had the Coolshot for 3 rounds now and bought to use alongside my gps watch for more accurate pin distances. OK value for money but difficult so far to measure to the flag, or I find I compare with my gps and see it is often wrong or measuring to something else, especially if trees behind the green. Measures to landscape no bother. Yesterday in mist/light rain it was useless and couldn't detect anything other than the ground 30yds in front of me. So far not that impressed and still trust my watch. Maybe should have spent the extra for a Bushnell.
