It's a good read for zombie fans as many of the stories are set in a overrun apocalyptic city during the Christmas period. There's something amusing about zombies doing normal things, like when a group of them knock on a door and start moaning caroles.
The other stories include vampires and haunted houses.
The main thing I didn't like was that every story had its own synopsis before the story. There is no reason to read what the story is going to be about before reading it.

About the Author
Anthony Renfro lives in Apex, North Carolina. He is a reader, writer, runner, husband, father, and stay at home dad - one of the toughest jobs anyone could ever do. He was born in Bristol, Tennessee, and is a graduate of UNC-Greensboro. You can find him at many spots on the web, but if you really need to find his center in the social media storm it would be at his blog, awrenfro.com. Now reach out, just beyond the light, right into that big black space, and let him take your hand on a journey into cold dark places. You will be scared, and you may even be terrified, but in the end you might just find you liked the ride.

Loved it!Reviewed in the United States on 18 September 2016
I enjoyed every story! I found this collection from a search for horror short stories and I am so glad I did. I love Anthony Renfro's style of writing and I have now started a quest to read everything he's written. I'm a much better reader than writer so my review just can't do justice to this author's talent. Every single story I read became a story that I thoroughly enjoyed and didn't want to end.

This may or may not be a good book, but I couldn't even finish the first story. I couldn't get past the poor grammar, typos, and punctuation errors. Get an editor.

Definitely leave a light on!! Renfro has compiled one of the scariest compilations I've read in awhile. Modern horror fans who want a scare, here ya go.
Interesting read.Reviewed in the United States on 16 October 2016
I like the way the stories vary one from another. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this collection. Hopefully more short stories will follow!
