I will thank you for writing the truth about Garry's rape charge, this is where his distrust of police comes from. This is why he never speaks to police and in saying that I hope your readers take note of THEIR record of what Garry said when arrested in South Australia, note the difference on how he allegedly speaks with Det Attwood to Det Monroe, I can assure you he never uses the word 'man' in any sentence. I'd also like to add that on the morning of his arrest way back then it certainly didn't play out as they'd have you believe. It was my birthday, the early morning banging on the glass door lets you know it's the police, I open the door, they wish me a happy birthday then arrest him, it was that simple. There was no wrestling on the floor with him trying to get their gun. Now let me zero in on Peter Hall. As for him saying that Garry arrived in Vince's charger while Carolyn Scully and myself were at the gym ?? I thought you'd have been smart enough Matt to pick up on the fact this is 1974 ! and no women went into gyms back then, unheard of, outright lie. Then to say he drove me back to his mother's house "where I was living" another lie, Garry's mum's house was full to the brim with relatives living there, Garry had a single bed in his mum's room, her being a Catholic would never have allowed me to sleep with him there, I was living with my mother and sister on Sandgate Rd. As for Mr X, of course he didn't get any of the reward money, he's a serial informant, this is how he works, commits his fraud, gets caught then tells the police what they want to hear, he either gets a 'get out of jail free ' card or a reduced sentenced, then when he's out he goes on to take vulnerable people to the cleaners. Peter Hall didn't get any of the reward money either but he sure got a huge payout from 60 Minutes, why take the money when he claimed to be a new man ?? tis a good incentive to do what is asked of you by our police.. I noticed Doug Meredith never got a mention, another one who couldn't lay straight in bed if his life depended on it.. My point is, the police would never have secured convictions against either of these men without their coersive powers, lies from old crooks and retired detectives and underhanded tactics from the police in charge of this case, not much has changed from the old days.
