Product Description

For Nicky, was voted #3 of the Top 50 Indie Books of 2014 by readers/voters.

Elizabeth Decker views herself as shy, totally average, and pretty much insignificant. She’s nothing special, at least not compared to her little sister, Audrey. Elizabeth is content with her plain and lonely future; she’s too insecure to contemplate a relationship thanks to her sister. Audrey is a bombshell and uses this to get what she wants. She’s a girl who will stop at nothing to control anyone and everything around her. She craves power and doesn’t care if she has to hurt Elizabeth to get it.
Nathaniel Morgan has spent his whole life fighting for his twin brother, Nicholas. Somewhere along the way, he lost himself. Now he’s just getting by. He’s devoted to his family, but emotionally detached from the women he burns through like wildfire. He has no plans of getting into something as complicated and committed as a “relationship”.
Nicholas Morgan has placed the new librarian, Miss Elizabeth, on a pedestal and is begging her to meet his twin brother, Nathaniel. Elizabeth and Nathaniel agree to meet, for Nicky. Both are caught off-guard when unexpected sparks fly between them. This was not in their plans. Will Nathaniel and Elizabeth be able to escape a past that still plagues them? Or, will the past, suspicions, and insecurities come between them one too many times?

Books 2 and 3 in this series are only 99¢! Because of Beckett and Christmas in Torey Hope.

**This is a contemporary new adult romance. It should only be read by ages 18+ due to adult themes and situations. This is a stand alone book.

5.0 out of 5 stars For Nicky 13 May 2014

Wow this book touched on a multitude of issues. They were woven into the story line , concise, truthful even to the point of being blunt. Shows not anyone is perfect and there always parts of us that could use some help. Nate for the way he took up for Nicky, Audrey for a whole lot of things and Elizabeth for allowing others to walk all over her.
To the romance part of the book. I loved how Nate and Libby came together and took the time to slowly learn about each other. As to the next book, I enjoy A.D. Ellis's writing so I will give Audrey a chance.

I read this book having no clue what it was about since I didn't read the synopsis. all I can Say is It truly blew my mind. It really is an amazing book. I was shocked that it consulted of 95 chapters, but every chapter tugged at my soul. I love how each character connected, even the horrible ones. the good and the bad characters always serve a certain purpose, and I am glad the bad turned into good. this book was truly amazing. I can't wait for what is next to come from A.D. Ellis.

5.0 out of 5 stars Heartwarming Pageturning Story 6 May 2014

I found myself immersed into each character as I continued to invest myself in the story. Page after page, I became a part of the emotions of both Libby and Nate. I empathized with Nate's emotional investment with his brother and the difficult life they both had to endure growing up that left Nate unable to move forward with relationships because of the defensive mechanism of reactive responses to anyone who had a negative comment about someone who was different. I understood Libby's take on the world wanting to stay hidden from everyone and not engage in life because of the trauma as a young girl living at home and in the shadow of her obnoxious harsh spoken jealous sister. She felt it was better to let the hurtful words slide that other people spoke about her finding it easier not to be apart of life but live on the outside of it always yearning to be apart of more than what she believed she could be.

Watching the attraction towards one another break down walls of the beliefs they both felt they needed to maintain for them to survive the lives they had built taking care of the family they loved. Both of them had sacrificed for their family to take care of them putting their own lives on hold without a second thought to themselves. When they meet neither one of them are prepared for the intensity of the attraction they feel for one another and the days following have them wanting to take the chance to commit just a little more than they had ever done before in their lives.

I found this book to be one where I did not want to stop reading, but wanted to keep turning the page even when there were no more to turn.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved it! 29 May 2014

I absolutely loved this book. As a school teacher I see accounts of bullying and deal with it immediately and thoroughly. I could appreciate how the subject was handled in this book. I also enjoyed the complex sister issues, the brotherly love, and the example of a wonderful marriage set by the parents. The sexy scenes were much appreciated as well! Can't wait for A.D.'s next book.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great message here 15 October 2016

3.5-4 stars

Great message overall! Nate has spent his life standing up for his "differently abled" twin brother, Nicky, typically with his fists. When a new teacher at the community center befriends Nicky, Nate decids he needs to get to know her and make sure she is truly interested in helping Nicky. Elizabeth has been viciously picked on and manipulated by her younger sister, Audrey, her whole life. Their family life went to hell when their mom died when they were younger and Audrey has been over the top on just about every level since then. Elizabeth is happy for the first time in a long time when she lands the perfect job in the small community of Torey Hope. After meeting Nate and feeling judged by him, the two start to feel each other out romantically...and then Audrey happens. OMG, this girl is so awful. After several misunderstandings and an awful vengeful act by Audrey the two are left wondering if they can overcome the trauma and make their relationship work or if they are meant to go their separate ways.

Great message about kindness, bullying, and respect for others with disabilities or just different abilities. Writing was overly descriptive at times but thought out. Will be interesting to read Audrey's book!
