Note: the tongue is attached, but I prefer that because it doesn't shift. I did use the loop and hole at the end for the laces to ensure a better fit.
The inside round on these sits farther forward though, which if I wear where the round of my foot is with the round of the shoe my toes are scrunched up at the end and I have a finger width at the heel, very uncomfortable. If i wear it with the heel all the way back the round of my foot sits before the round of the shoe, it is not so comfortable there, but my large toe is at the end and the rest of my foot is comfortable. They are a perfect width and not super tight and not super loose. It may just take some getting used to and breaking the fabric in so it's not so stiff.
Not as breathable as some of my other shoes, but still really breathable so you could feel a good breeze on your feet while wearing them. Much stiffer than the memory foam I am used to, hoping these will absorb impact just as well and be better support for my feet. Says antimicrobial so hopefully the odor killing is good because hello workout shoes, and I prefer not to wear socks because they hold the sweat/moisture and germs against the skin and don't allow them to breath which is not so good for the feet. If you workout at a gym you should consider shower slippers too considering how contagious athletes foot is.
