Product Description

A protector from evil. One who without fear will lead you safely through darkness.
Cold and ruthless. A CARTEL who cares only for revenge and glory.
My name is Nina Cross, and I’m the Los Santos’s newest prey. Determined to prove my partners innocence and avenge his violent death, I stumbled naively into the spider’s web. Tangled with lies and hunted for truth I was shadowed with each step I took. That was until one man, relentless in his touch and his desire threatened to bring me to my knees in ways I both craved and feared.
Jair Ruiz. Powerful, brooding and confident and not at all who he seems. He has me in his sights and has every intention of toying with his newest target while fighting to keep us both alive.
When the FBI turns it back on you and Los Santos cartel have already dug your grave, who is there left to trust?
Only one man. A saviour.
But if I look my saint in the eye and all I see is the devil…do I run?

“I’m not entirely good. I’m not entirely bad. But I’m enough of a little of each to ruin you.”

This book is one sensational read!
It has everything from action and suspense to passion.
The book has a complex storyline that immediately gets the reader immersed in the story and very intrigued. The characters are well developed and easy to identify with making them real, especially Nina Cross.
This is one book that keeps you on your toes and on the edge of your seat!
Don't miss this one it is terrific.

Well, that was a wee bit heart pumping. I just finished Never Trust a Saint in one day. I don’t get to read all day much anymore. You know the drill, life gets in the way, people to see, places to go, all the other stuff that gets put ahead of reading. But today, my little man went off to his first overnight camp. Of course, he’s not stressed at all. I hardly even got a goodbye hug from him. Bloody boys, don’t they realise it’s HARD. Mum’s worry. Anyways…I was a little bit sad. No tears mind you just an underlying worry that he might get there and realise he does miss me. I know Ha bloody HA…AS IF!! So, to distract me from my worry I started reading and boy did I get sucked in.

I realised quickly that I needed to have my wits about me. The pace is fast, the explanations come to you rapid fire and the names whiz by if you’re not paying attention. I don’t read books like this one very often and I was surprised how much I was into it. There are rival gangs, FBI agents and drug lords to keep note of. Borders and areas mapped out for distributions and places where productions take place. It was explained well, but at times I had to re-read to make sure I got it all straight.

Nina is an FBI agent who specialises in fraud and money laundering. She and her partner of a year Garcia, are good friends as well. When a tragedy happens and Garcia is killed, Nina starts asking questions. Unfortunately, she asks too many questions to the wrong people. Next thing she knows she’s the target of a drug cartel. It’s time for Nina to GO WIDE – AKA – Get the F#*K out of town.

Who can she trust? Who should she turn to? One man charges into her life when she needs him the most. Who is he? Who does he work for? Why is he helping her?

The man with many names is a bit of a ghost.

Never Trust a Saint is a great first installment in the Los Santos Cartel story. It's filled with suspense, twists, action and LUST by the end you will be hanging for more.

Nina is a FBI agent wanting answers for a death others are trying to hide. Looking for these answers leaves Nina as a target and not just a small one, she is the target of a drug cartel. A dark mysterious stranger enters her life wanting to help her all the while telling her he can not be trusted. Still there is a pull to him, he makes her body tingle, she can't help but want him.

Jair Ruiz is there to protect Nina all the while warning her, her attraction to him and the passion they share is sizzling. On the run from those who are hunting her, she sides with the devil. Letting her guard down and letting her body take over. Jair Ruiz is a mystery and his words were true, you can never trust a Saint...

This story started off slow but held you with mystery. The attraction at the start did seem very fast paced, being an FBI agent and all. Nina isn't a strong heroine and often gave in too easily, I would have loved to have seen her put up more of a fight and become kickass. Overall, the mystery around Jair and his way with words had me wondering who this man truly was. By the end I was intrigued to find out what is store for Nina and Jair. They may have answers Nina was looking for but in the end it left an even bigger target on her head.

Wow Melissa Jane has done it again. Another fab story from her if you love a good Mafia read then this is certainly for you. It is actioned packed right from the word go. Murder, Sex(really hot sex), Betrayal, Revenge and Suspense. Yes it is all here for your enjoyment.

Nina Cross "rookie" FBI Agent is out to find justice for her partners murder. Although warned to GO WIDE,she decides to ignore the warning and digs deeper into the reasons why her partner was killed, thus putting a target on her own back.

Hiding in the shadows is Jair Ruiz, a man sent to protect her, to shadow her and not be seen.

Thinking that protection is not required, Nina decides to go on alone until coming face to face with a man pointing a gun at her. Of course Jair is there once again to protect her.

Is he a man who can be trusted, can you believe everything that he says to her. Is he a Saint or a Devil in disguise?

Just when you think you know where this story is headed, BOOM, everything changes. The suspense had me sitting on the edge of my seat and mid way through you could have knocked me over with a feather at the change of pace this book provided. (less)
