Nora see’s Geraldine across the room and vows to her best friend that she is her future wife (see full quote below) before she has even spoken to her.
Nora woo’s Geraldine and they fall in love and… into bed. Its almost too late when the realize that their families know each other and have been feuding for years… With no sign of hope, how can their love triumph their families hate?
The story is told from only Nora point of view. I would have liked to have a little insight into Geraldine’s thoughts as she came off cold in a lot of the scenes and due to this I never really warmed to her. Nora’s personality was genuine and she was clearly a very caring person. I wasn’t so keen on her cheesy lines but hey I’m sure that appeals to the larger audience.
The sex scenes where hot and there was a certain amount of vulnerability in those moments between the main protagonist’s that renewed my faith in their love in my moment’s of doubt.
I really liked the authors writing style and I am looking forward to reading more of her books especially in this particular series.

Irish families and their grudges, maybe to hard to over come. This was an entertaining story of love at first sight, warring families and a love so strong barriers will be broken. I really enjoyed reading about Nora and Ger.

Family loyalties and true love clash head on.Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 December 2016
I decided to buy the kindle edition of this Girl Meets Girl book 1 after having read and loved Book 2 in the series "Not So Straight Sue". Book 1 is set in London - my city - and its a very beguiling story of Nora, a lady about town into quick one night stands who falls head over heels and for once is helpless as she's rocked by the love of her life. Great snappy prose and characterisation as I've come to expect from Cheyenne Blue. Trouble is there is a family feud to negotiate and from there on in things get messy with family loyalties pulling our girls in opposite directions. But its a good read with a happy ending (this is not a tragedy!). Very enjoyable - not as good as Book 2 which I give 5 stars too.

As I'm Irish born I was interested in this book for that reason. There were way too many references to Ireland and Irish. It was based in London and felt more like a Hollywood version of what Irish people are like. I half expected leprechauns to leap out from the page. Not much in the way of substance.
Excellent!Reviewed in the United States on 1 March 2016
A feud between the Kelly's and the Flannery's, an unresolved family feud and that for many years. What if you fall in love with a member of the wrong family? You don't choose the one you are falling for, it just happened. Both their worlds gets upside down, the love can never be and the feud threatens to tear their lives apart. They are powerless to stop the hate. The fear of losing all the chances of a happy life is real and seeing the struggles they were going through, it felt like I was in the story. The main characters are real and easy to love. The storyline is strong passionate, well written and it touched my heart. It was captivating and a very enjoyable read. I recommend it highly.
The old one!
Short but oh, so sweet!Reviewed in the United States on 4 January 2018
Yes, this is the les/fic version of Romeo and Juliet but it so very sweet and with an ending not like R & J. Family feuds are better left behind if they get in the way of true love. Loved both Nora and Ger but Nora is who actually saved the day for the ladies. Very sweet and tender story. Glad there are more in the series to read. I really do recommend this novella as it truly made my heart happy.
