Book Description

Based on a unique method, 'partnering, not parenting', this book provides much-needed support for all parents looking after a child with a mental illness.

About the Author

Suzanne Alderson founded the charity group Parenting Mental Health following the attempted suicide of her daughter Issy. Parenting Mental Health is an online community for parents of children and teenagers suffering from acute mental illness. It supports over 20,000 parents through its Facebook group, in-person events and online mentoring and training programme. In 2018, Suzanne was recognised by Facebook for her fight to end generational mental illness. Suzanne is a trained mental health first aider, an ambassador of the mental health charity Kaleidoscope Plus Group and a regular speaker on mental health.
