Product description

Product Description

Have you ever sunk inside yourself to a place of darkness so deep you couldn’t see the light? Had no hope? Felt completely alone in a world filled with so many people?

I have. I’ve lived it, breathed it.

Why?

Because life hated me.

It disliked me from the moment of conception, despised me when I was born, loathed me when I bounced from each foster home, and kicked me in the gut when I watched the one thing that meant everything to me leave.

For years, I drifted, unable to find my footing, never knowing what the word stable meant. Then a single moment in time rocked me to my core, changing me and making that solid ground I so desperately craved crumble at my feet, causing me to fall farther than I’d ever imagined.

The darkness of the swirling tornado that is depression captured me, pulling me down to its depths, drowning me, suffocating me, owning me.

A depth so deep, I didn’t think I’d survive and didn’t care if I did. I only wanted peace. I wanted the pain to disappear. I wanted to be … free.

Needing to fall into the cyclone of darkness was the only way I could find the light.

Needing to fall is not a story, it’s a journey. It is not your typical Ryan Michele novel as it is deep, dark and may very well leave you emotionally drained. It had me captivated from the start and for me personally, it reminded me that I was lucky enough to find my person and how much sunshine I have around me. This required a very large stock pile of Kleenex.
This journey brings to the forefront the struggles many have when dealing with depression and PTSD, how it is very real and can occur under many different circumstances.
Though the characters in this book are fictional, their journey is raw, heartbreaking, and is about as real as it can get. Ryan has done a wonderful job in bringing the journey of Reign and Lynx to life, she has described their individual struggles, dealing with the traumatic events in their lives that had brought on their PTSD and depression and ultimately bringing the two together.
The supporting characters in this book are also amazing, showing their how love, support and strength can help people dealing with depression, being the light they need to get through their daily struggles.
I commend Ryan for writing such a powerful story and I cannot imagine how hard it was for her to write this but I am so glad she did. PTSD and depression affects so many people whether they are themselves are living with it, have family or friends that struggle on a daily basis with it.
This book is sitting at the top of my most favourite reads for 2016.

I love the Ravage MC Series and was so excited when i received an ARC of Needing to Fall. As always Ryan Michelle did not disappoint, this book is a five star read. But in saying that this book is very different from her previous works. This story is quite dark, gritty and desperate revolving around the very personal demons that are PTSD and Depression. This story is very different to the normal style of romance i read, it was full on and was so emotive, raw and heartbreaking to read. I spent a great deal of the book reading it with tears streaming down my face.
The title of this book couldn't be more accurate - the need to fall to pick yourself up again. This is a beautiful story of finding yourself.
Rayne is such a tortured soul with a life full of pain and disappointments but with love, courage, determination and strength she pulls her way back. Lynx has his own demons to fight with PTSD but boy did i love his character. One word to describe this alpha male is yum!
I literally couldn't put Needing to fall down and finished it in one sitting.
This story is so well written with a depth of emotion and connection to the reader you rarely find.
Having someone close who has struggled with depression and had similar issues to Rayne this book was doubly emotive for me.
I loved the courage, love and determination in this book and the cameo by the Ravage boys.

** ARC was provided in exchange for an honest review **

This book is not like her other books. Ryan Michele took hard issues, and gave them a voice in this story.

What can I say?
Ryan Michele, what have you done to me?

This book had me gripped to it from the start. The emotional rollercoaster ride of Reign and Lynx's story had me up all night to see where they would end up at.

Reign is one strong woman. To have an upbringing like she did, and to survive. That is inner strength.
Lynx is one strong man. He's damaged, but a fighter from within like Reign.

Two tortured souls coming together, and helping each other to fight for hope. Hope is what bounds these two as they find the light at the end of the tunnel.

Ryan Michelle has written another amazing book loved it.
Needing to fall took me on an emotional rollercoaster and I could not put it down till I knew where Reign and Lynx ended up. Reign is a strong women who has been dealt a s***ty hand in life and now must work to overcome it. Lynx has his own demons to overcome. Together they create hope.
