NOTE: This is a Complete Novel. No cliffhanger. Dual POV. Rated 18+ due to adult language and sexual content. This is an adult contemporary erotic romance filled with mystery and suspense, light BDSM, Dom/sub play, and touching on some psychological elements. This series centers around the Prescott family, their friends, and businesses. It includes unsavory characters, a horrid ex-boyfriend, a security team, made up of ex-military personnel, that will go to any lengths to protect this family, and issues of survivor's guilt. These are stand alone books that create the series, but they do not need to be read in order. The story is more enhanced if read in order.

I Need You Forever, Need #5

Jackson Lombardi refused to grieve for the loss of his wife, Gabi, living the past two years for his daughter and work. Everyone pushed for him to move on, but his heart was fighting a battle between holding on to the past and letting go.

Robin Patrick was a dynamo for the Marketing Department. She came in when all hell broke loose over Gabi’s death, doing everything to ease Jackson’s stress levels and keep her mind off her own problems too. Everyone thought she had it all together, not realizing she was living a lie - covering who she was for the past three years. She’s hiding from a monster who wanted to own her and her father’s company that wants to stop the investigation into his death.

She’d pulled everything off until the one person who’d been her rock had been lost to her forever. A chance encounter with her boss, in the most unlikely of places, was the beginning of her salvation and the road to a temptation she wasn’t sure she’d survive.

Jackson was a force to be reckoned with, an alpha extreme, perfect for her submissive nature. At least she could forget about her past, for a while, and enjoy the pleasures of today – knowing that an eternity would never be possible with someone who couldn’t love her as long as he held onto the memories of his wife or could it?

What he Needs is the promise of forever, but can he finally let go of the past and open his heart to the idea of new love?

"An erotic version of CSI. I now have a book boyfriend!" - Angela

"Best of the series." - Stacy and Mia

4.0 out of 5 stars I love Jax & Robin 6 April 2016
By Carrie Marie - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
I love Jax & Robin! Unfortunately, I found their story a little choppy, and it's not my favorite of the series. But I love the characters!! And I'm looking forward to the Titan Security series, which will be spinning off this summer.

So, the cons - Gabi. It sort of felt more like she was taking over the story than helping Jax to move on. I got where the intent was - and really cool concept that has been a theme throughout the series. I just didn't feel it was executed as well in this installment as it has been in the past. There were also some story flow issues that might have just been me!

The pros - Seriously fell in love with the characters! So much so that I wanted more of them, more interactions w/ them. Niki, Jax & Gabi's daughter, is a doll. I would have liked to see more interactions w/ her, as well. So cute! And from the glimpses we're given of Derrick in this story, I am really looking forward to him having his own! : )

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Jackson! 24 March 2016
By Sassy Southern Book Blog - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
I Need You Forever by Cynthia P. O'Neill is the first book I have read by her and certainly won't be the last. This book is part of a series but can be read as a stand alone. I had not read the other books in the series and didn't feel like I had missed anything.

Jackson is struggling day to day to make sense of his life. His wife died two years ago and now he is left with raising their daughter. He gets up and goes to work and when he is not at work he is with his daughter. As he visits the grave of his deceased wife he tells her this is it, he won't be coming back for awhile to figure out how to move on without her. He turns to leave and hears his name called, it is no other than his personal assistant, Robin, who is visiting her dads grave. After a few minutes of casual conversation he insist on taking Robin home. Jackson stops by Robins favorite coffee shop and it is closed but lucky for them his sister owns it and opens up for them. He also insist in taking her home which is where he finds out she lives in a run down apartment that has just been broken into. A note was left that she is hiding, he knows there is more to this than she is willing to tell. He wants nothing more than to keep his employee safe, but more than that Robin is stirring feelings in him he hasn't had since the death of his late wife.

Robin has been through a lot in the last couple of years, a bad break up, her brother on some special military mission and the passing of her dad. Now she finds another threatening note. Jackson is more than willing to help her but she doesn't want to impose on him. She will not open up her heart to anyone especially after what happened with her ex, Declan.

Robin and Jackson have to both figure out how to move on with out feeling regret and guilt, but is love enough to keep these two together with everything going on.

I would recommend this book. This book is also written in dual POV which I really enjoyed.

4.0 out of 5 stars Beautiful love story 5 April 2016
By Brittany's Book Blog - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
What a beautiful, romantic, thrilling and sad story! The synopsis to this book grabbed my attention the moment I read that Jax had lost his wife and it was hard for him to move forward. These sad stories always make me sappy but happy in the end....when it has a happy ending that is :)

Jax knew he needed to move on with his life after two years of mourning his dead wife but it was easier said than done. But all the signs kept popping up on him that he needed to move forward and make himself happy along with his daughter Nikola.

Robin has been in hiding for three years and has been doing a great job of it, until she receives a threatening note making it harder for her to keep hiding from him any longer. Robin lived a life of hell with her ex. At first he was the best boyfriend in the planet that treated her like a queen but one day he changed and started acting mean and would be cruel towards her and that's when she knew she had to run and hide.

Jax and his family, including his wife's family who has embraced Robin and see her like a daughter will stop at nothing to help her and try and solve the mystery of how her father died and try and find her ex who keeps sending her threatening letters.

As they try and figure out these issues, Robin and Jax start falling in love and are trying to take it slow, but at the same time they can't control the fact that they have strong feelings for each other.

Will they be able to solve her dad's mystery and get rid of her annoying ex? Can Jax finally let go of his dead wife and move forward with Robin and be happy?

This story was beautifully written. I haven't read the rest of the series, although they're all stand alone's I think I would like to go back and read about every individual that is part of this series. DOM men always attract me because I love the possessiveness they show, I find that extremely sexy and ever male character in this series is a DOM!!

4.0 stars for this beautiful book!

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Ending to the Need Series 8 April 2016
By April R Symes - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This was a moving story about loss and finding love again. Jackson Lombardi lost his beloved wife Gabi two years ago just after she gave birth to their daughter. The way she gave birth and her death after has left him in a vacuum of loss and grief and despair. He is just now finally coming out of that vortex into the light again and when he does, he sees Robin Patrick.

Robin Patrick is a sweet and strong woman who has faced loss in her life. She started working at Jackson's family company when Jackson’s wife died and moved up. She did everything to help because she wanted to help Jackson and keep as much stress off him but she too had a lot of problems and pain in her past. Robin is in hiding from someone dangerous and is about to go on the run again--On the day Jackson decided to let go and move on, Robin ran into him and suddenly snap, there is this connection between them. Jackson knew who she was but not who she would be to him.
Robin has been in hiding but now the person she has been hiding from has found her and has been starting to make threats against her and now Jackson is ready to protect her. As he keeps her safe, he realizes how precious she is to his family and she is coming to be to him. There are strong and intense feelings between them. The passion and intense feelings between them will jump out at you and also the action and suspense is great.

I loved the wrap up to the Need series and it was great to see previous characters to the other books. The ending is wonderful and I was sad to see the ending but I was very glad to see Jackson get his HEA. Robin went thru some horrible times and it was awesome to see that Jackson went a long way to show her that not all men were horrible and she got her HEA too and it was with Jackson.
My rating: 4.8 stars *****

5.0 out of 5 stars Best book in series 25 March 2016
By Lisa A. Markson - Published on

I absolutely love this series and never want to see it end. These characters reach into your heart and totally emotionally gut you. You become invested into their lives the tragedies and hits that they become embroiled in. I have loved and felt so heartbroken for Jackson from the very beginning I'm glad this book was written. This book was the best of them all. There was emotional content, connection between characters and lots of intriguing drama. I received a copy of this book in exchange for a honest and unbiased opinion.
