1) Whether or not this would be able to provide enough resistance for an experienced indoor cyclist coming off a spin bike
2) How noisy this bike would be
3)Whether or not it could accommodate somebody of my height (I'm 6'5")
The resistance ended up being excellent. I usually maintain resistance around level 23 on this bike, which even leaves a little room for me to improve before I hit the maximum. The resistance definitely feels different from a 40lb flywheel with a felt brake pad, which took some getting used to, but since my priority is fitness maintenance and not bicycle training, I don't mind it at all. It just doesn't quite emulate how a real outdoor bicycle feels. The important thing is that it makes my legs burn and gets my heart rate up.
Coming off an old spin bike of similar cost to this bike, I'm very used to a noisy ride. On my old spin bike, the sound of the chain rattling and brake rubbing on the flywheel put the bike over 65 decibels on average. Living in a second story condo, my downstairs neighbors surely didn't appreciate the vibration noise coming through their ceiling either. On this bike, the noise is absolutely negligible and I can't even feel any vibration. My breathing is louder than the bike is. I'm very happy about that!
Finally, the only bit of disappointment I've experienced with this bike is the maximum seat height. Based on the research I did, I knew the best maximum height for a user would be around 6'2", so I didn't expect it to adjust to my legs perfectly, but I did read an answer on Amazon from Nautilus stating that an employee of theirs rides this bike and is the same height as me (6'5") so I figured it would be tolerable for me. However, using the stock seat did result in some issues for me even at the maximum seat height, so I opted to switch to an after-market seat that sits a higher than the stock seat to add some extra height, which pretty much solves my problem. The seat attaches like a normal bicycle seat (although I'm not certain of the diameter of the post), so you have a lot of freedom on what kind of seat to put on it.
Overall, I'm very satisfied with this bike and glad I made the purchase!
