The Naughty Corner: Lessons After Hours, Book 4 Kindle Edition
She’s a writer with a looming deadline. He’s a football coach saddled with a couple of rebels who just happen to be her nephews. Now it’s time for a little bargaining; if she wants him to keep them out of her hair, she’s going to have to take their punishment.
When tech writer Lola Cook has her twin nephews dumped on her for the summer—right in the middle of a huge work project, no less—she comes up with a scathingly brilliant idea to unload them for five hours a day by sending them to football camp. Absolutely perfect.
She doesn’t factor in Coach Gray Barnett discovering how impossibly disruptive the terrible twins can be. But Gray has his own scathingly brilliant idea when he meets the boys’ beautiful Aunt Lola. And the bargaining begins. The twins can stay in football camp, but every time they misbehave, Lola’s the one who has to pay for their misdeeds.
Who knew taking your punishment could be so fun? Lola soon finds herself hoping the twins will do their worst. And Coach Barnett will have to send her to his naughty corner again and again…

The characters in this book were funny, sexy with an experienced outlook on life, yet brought a freshness to the story. This was because of the naughty parts of the book, which were fun to read about. The buildup to the sexy parts of this book were nil, there was one conversation the first time they met where the H declared what he wanted and from then on it was almost as if the two of them knew each other better than shown in the book. There was one gagging scene that made me want to look away because the H gags the h, ties up her hands, he was very much aware of her whole-hearted participation, yet did not give her some way to indicate a safe-word. I thought that was very odd. It made my stomach churn a bit but all ended well. Through the book there were moments where Gray and Lola were together but seemed like just moments in time, once over were forgotten until the next one and so there was not much romance, just one episode of kinky sex after another. Very well written erotica no doubt but still lacking the connection that was suggested throughout the book. At the end, the crisis was dealt with almost too smoothly for the magnitude of the crime and once again that extra bit of romance was missing that would make me believe that these two would be happy together in a relationship. Gray does not explain anything to Lola or console her in anyway and she is just as ready to brush off the issue. It was strange that Gray and Lola were really falling in love and as grown up people were not able to even spend one night together once during the course of the book, because they wanted it that way. I would have been more convinced of the love confession at the end if they were more generous with each other outside of the kinky sex that they enjoyed.
So for a long book written by one of my favorite authors, this book had all lots of kinky naughty moments and great sex scenes, yet lacked the emotion I was looking for in a romance.
