The NOBULL's are also a little pricey in my opinion, but my experience only extends to the canvas trainers. After a few weeks of use I developed really bad pain in my achilles tendon as well as my foot, which I believe is attributed to the NOBULL being a flat shoe with no arch support. I still use them, but only for heavy lifting days as they do provide a slightly better base that is more solid than the Metcons.
I also tried ordering a pair of Nano 4's from the CrossFit website, but my order was cancelled without notification or an explanation. The cancellation of my order is what lead me to the Metcons and at this point I believe that it was for the best.
As these shoes have no tongue and are “slip on” the only thing I can do to adjust them is loosen the laces. Unfortunately the laces seem to be made to tighten things further and do little to alleviate how tight they are. This is my first pair of slip on shoes like this so I have nothing to compare them to. I will say that I have never had this issue with any pair of shoes I have ever owned except a single pair of dress shoes.
Long story short, the shoes look amazing but are unfortunately too tight around the mid foot region making them almost unwearable for any significant length of time.
