About this item

  • LONG-RANGE E-BIKE BATTERY THAT ALSO CHARGES YOUR PORTABLE DEVICES: Bulky battery casings can take up considerable space, but the NCM Milano's battery is integrated in the down tube by design, keeping weight low and cantered and thus making for a steadier ride. On a single charge of this battery, the Milano can travel up to 75 miles (in ECO mode). The built-in USB port comes in handy when your smart devices need a charge while you're on the move.
  • POWERFUL PATENTED DAS-KIT X15 REAR HUB MOTOR: This reliable 250W rear-drive unit is known for its power-endurance level and long-distance pedal assistance, able to maintain 15.5mph for extended periods of time. There is no compromise to manoeuvrability with the compact motor centred in the rear hub.
  • COMFORTABLE AND SMOOTH CYCLING EXPERIENCE: Large Schwalbe Big Ben tyres, a Suntour suspension fork, an adjustable handlebar, Selle Royal ergonomic grips and saddle with suspension post all serve to provide the most comfortable ride for even the longest distances. The highly popular Shimano Altus 7-speed rear derailleur guarantees a seamless transmission.
  • INFORMATION AND CONTROL AT YOUR FINGERTIPS: Our simple and stylish Das-Kit LCD display gives you all the information you need about your current trip. Furthermore, it allows you to adjust the power output of the battery as well as the pedal-assist level of the motor (with 6 levels).
  • BUILT SOLID FOR MORE SAFETY: The NCM Milano is designed to be fashionable with no compromise to functionality and safety. Mechanical Tektro disc brakes with 160mm rotors and motor inhibitor ensure a safe ride at all speeds. Front and rear Spanninga lights keep both the road and you highly visible, while internally routed cables add neatness to the sleek design.

2.0 out of 5 stars The worst bicycle I have ever owned
By Sean Fellowes on 23 September 2021
I've ridden bicycles regularly for 50 years. I rode everywhere as a child, I used to ride in triathlons, I still ride for exercise and I have commuted to work on a bicycle most days since 2002. I recently moved to a new office, which is a hilly 15 kilometers from my home and there is no shower. Now in my mid-fifties I decided to buy an e-bike for the commute to work. After years of spandex, this bike would be for comfort and a bike I could easily commute wearing my work attire, a collared shirt, sports jacket, jeans, and leather shoes.

After much procrastination, I settled on an NCM Milano. It ticked most of the boxes in the price range. I have unfortunately encountered numerous problems. Squeaky brakes, back to the distributor Leon Cycle. Left peddle clicking, back to Leon Cycle. 3 broken spokes, back to Lean Cycle. Another broken spoke, back to Leon Cycle. The chain has come off twice at slow speed and now the cable to the front headlight has come off although that could have been my fault.

The Milano is a bit of a tank. It’s heavy 28 kilograms takes some getting used to, but the creaks, clunky gears, motor noise and occasional rear wheel straining noises I have never gotten used to. When taking the bike in for repair with 3 broken spokes I was directed to the second last page of the manual which specifies the maximum supported weight is 125 kilograms including the 28-kilogram weight of the bike, the weight of you, your water bottle, your clothing and the weight of everything else you might commute with. That’s not much and was never mentioned during the sales process.

If there’s something to be positive about, the service from Leon Cycle has been excellent. They have repaired or replaced everything with no fuss, but seriously, no 5-month-old bike should be as unreliable and problematic as this. You’d think I’d been riding it off rode and up and down curbs. I absolutely have not!

I’m very disappointed in the NCM Milano. I get little enjoyment riding it, particularly when, at the back of my mind, I’m wondering whether I’ll be walking the 28-kilogram Milano home again.
