Product Description

This book details mature subject matter such as coarse language and sexual situations. It is not suitable for anyone under the age of 18.

“How on earth do I get myself in these situations? I swear it’s like a never ending bad dream. One of all my mistakes that continuously bite me in my size ten ass.”
Azaria ‘Ree’ Gable had her one experience with heartbreak and that was enough for her. She’s perfectly satisfied with her ‘One Month Rule’ and doesn’t need her life changing anytime soon.
When circumstances take her back home, she learns things have changed…
A lot…
First and foremost being with the complete and astonishing overhaul and revamp of the Belton Police Department, where apparently the application was changed to state ‘Ugly Men Need Not Apply’ and the only requirement is ‘How Well Do You Look In This Uniform?’
Ree unexpectedly catches the eye of the new ‘gina-quiver inducing Chief of Police Grayson Cole, which starts an endless game of cat and mouse.
Will Ree let go of her misconceptions about relationships and allow Grayson to show her how beautiful life can really be?

~I received a free copy of this book to read and review for Wicked Reads Review Team~
At first Ree got on my nerves BIG time, but then I fell in love with her. Chief Cole….how could you NOT instantly fall in love with
him? Holy smokes! The whole police department was a dream! This story was funny, sweet and had just a little drama to it. It was refreshing and fun and I can’t wait to see what is in store for the rest of the series. I only hope we will see more Ree and Grayson.

Characters: The characters were well written and believable.

Sex: HOT!

Religious: no

Would I recommend to others: yes

5.0 out of 5 stars My Coyote Ugly Life Review by Loraine Oliver for Wicked Women Book Blog! 27 September 2014
By Loraine Oliver - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
This book is about the life of Azaria "Ree" Gable, and how she has chosen to live it. At the age of 27, she is a "sleep with a man once type of girl" and then never again, unless they are exceptional, and they can last up to a month, and then she is on to the next one. She thought she was in love as a young girl but when it did not work out it broke her heart and she never wants to feel that way again, so this is how she conducts herself. Ree works as a graphic artist, and does it from her home. She lives the big city life, and has a close group of friends, and a wonderful family life as well.

After a call from her family, she decides to move back home to Belton, into a little house temporarily so she can be there to help her mom out who had a brush of ill health. Ree loves her family and is very protective of them. Belton is a small town with the typical attitude of everyone gossiping and getting to know your business. However wild Ree was as a child, the whole town loves her! With the aid of an older woman who used to stick up for Ree, and cover up her wild child behavior- life has always been good for Ree! However sometimes one's behavior attracts the wrong kind of person and unknown to Ree, that is exactly what she has done.

While Ree has been gone the town has changed dramatically and one of the changes is all the hot new men in the police department which used to be comprised of the same old men; not anymore! Someone changed the application to say-
‘Ugly Men Need Not Apply’ and the only requirement is ‘How Well Do You Look In This Uniform?’ Shocking but true all the officers are ex military, special forces and hot! As Ree says her "gina-quiver inducing was caused by the chief of police Grayson Cole and she tries to avoid him at all costs as she does not want to take the risk of breaking her number one rule! The chase ensues and you will have to see what happens by reading the book!

This book was highly entertaining and all the characters were well developed, and the language was colorful but hilarious! Ree is in a situation she never has been in before-she has fallen in love and although she wants to be with Grayson, she is afraid. Everyone in the town rallies behind Grayson, to make sure this event occurs, including her mom! When something bad happens, it is a good thing neighbors can be so nosy, as it helps with the outcome!

I gave this book 5 stars and look forward to more books by this author!

4.0 out of 5 stars LOVED THE STORY AND CHARACTERS! 20 November 2014
By Whitney(Shooting Stars Reviews) - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
My Coyote Ugly Life begins with us getting to see the Coyote Ugly Life of Azaria 'Ree' Gable. The problem is maybe she's not exactly excited about her so called "life" anymore. Not only that, but when she moves back home to help her mom out more since she had a mini stroke, she never expected to see one of her one night stands that didn't happen in front of her.

But he's not just some guy in town, he's actually the Chief of Police Grayson Cole. And he doesn't want to let her go. He will do everything in his power to show Ree that her rules should go out the window.
Especially when they find out someone may be out there to hurt her.

This book was really good! I enjoyed the whole plot line, and I loved Ree and Chief together! I also loved each of them by themselves as well. I thought Ree was really different, and I loved how out going she was. And I also loved how macho alpha male Chief was! It was the perfect match.

The only thing I didn't like about the story was, it felt like the whole Ree being in danger thing didn't take a huge part of the book. I understand if that's really how it was suppose to be, but because it was like that, when those times came around that it felt we should be afraid for Ree I didn't really feel it, because there wasn't much suspense about it.

Other then that I loved the story, and I look forward to reading more in this series. Especially about all of the 'Hot Police!'

3.0 out of 5 stars Funny, but needs editing 27 May 2015
By Beauty in Books - Published on

Funny book. I liked the characters, but it seriously needs editing. It moved a little too quickly so I needn't get to absorb the plot, almost like it went quickly from one dialog to the next without the "feeling" fillers that bridge the book and help the reader connect. Also, it was a little too close for comfort to another well loved author (KA). Some phrases were eerily similar.

4.0 out of 5 stars I was tickled that it was set in Iowa! :) 29 September 2014
By Heather A - Published on
Format: Kindle Edition
Alright! It’s My Coyote Ugly Life time. I’ll tell you, I was totally stoked from the first page, not just because it is set in Iowa (let’s face it, not that many books are), but one of our character’s siblings live in my hometown. Plus I got a happy little buzz every time a new place was mentioned, the Bait Shop to Wellman’s Pub, plus all the towns in Iowa. Seriously, how many of you outside of Iowa have heard of Waukee, Madrid (not pronounced like the capital of Spain, we Iowan-ized it), Urbandale, etc?

I was just sitting there reading wondering exactly where in Iowa the author is from.

I was kind of laughing in the beginning when the Ree was talking about being a city girl. I suppose if you are from one of the smaller rural areas, you would look at Des Moines as being the big city. Growing up right outside of Des Moines, I dreamed of going to a “real” big city, New York. When we were younger here, must of us have dreams of escaping Des Moines because there was nothing to do. Thankfully they decided to do something about that because we were losing a lot of our youth to the big cities and have revitalized a lot of Des Moines. It’s now an awesome place to be with something new to do everywhere you look.

Ok, you didn’t come to read my review because you wanted to know how much I love Iowa, so I shall try to stop on the location description. I couldn’t help it though. It was cool to see all those towns in print.

Ree has a one month rule to dating, that is if she even sticks around longer than one night.

Cole is the new chief of police of the Belton police department. He is, as Ree describes him, sex on a stick. I loved him as a character and would totally make him my next book boyfriend. The way he said babe made me think of Ranger in another series. It was hot.

Ree is fun. She isn’t a fan of silence and just lets whatever roll out of her mouth then questions why she is still speaking. Totally me.

Jessica does an awesome job of giving us the feel for small town life. When Waukee was smaller (it’s gone from 60+ in my graduating class in 93 to 811, last time I looked) in this year’s kindergarten class), I swear I never would have had to worry about a cell phone to call my parents. My parents would know what I was doing before I even got to my destination. Ride your bike to your friend’s house and misbehave on the way? Someone was sure to call down and let my parents know what I was getting into.

This was just a really fun book. It was an easy read and I flipped pages from beginning to end, not stopping until I was done.

Great book!

Thank you so much for my copy of My Coyote Ugly Life! Too much fun!
