Having read all of Geraldine's books this comes as no surprise as to how outstanding it is
This tale of love loss and humanity for all man kind
Set Between Dublin and Tullamore in the Midlands of Ireland are 2 family's brought together through tragedy a young family in need of looking after when there mother passes and a cousin of there mother comes up from the country to do just that in the process there journey is not plain sailing but eventually they get there both are good for each other and heal many scars. romance laughter tears for joy are in an abundance in this book not all is what it seems can't praise this book high enough

This is a lovely story of 1940's Ireland. I am at Chapter 40 and Nora the spinster Aunt from Tullamore is intriguing to say the least. On the surface. a kind Aunt (and she is lovely to the kids) whose motives become more complex as the story develops. Who would think that such a conservative woman could become such a temptress in the pursuit of her own agenda. I cant put the book down and cant wait to see if Nora's will secret plan will come to fruition. I really like Nora and I just hope her heart wont be broken in the end. What a read, cant wait to finish the book.
