An Exciting StoryReviewed in Canada on 1 January 2020
Granny Reid aka Stella Reid is a strong character. She shines in this second story about the early years of the Reid family. It's Halloween and a cold case has come to light. Stella & Savannah are in the midst of it. I totally enjoy reading this author. She doesn't disappoint.

One of Her Best Books EverReviewed in the United States on 5 October 2019
I have read all of the Savannah Reid books and this is the 2nd granny Reid book I've read. Each book is just better and better. I feel like I'm in the room with the characters. Great book. Keep them coming!

Granny Reid does it againReviewed in the United States on 18 November 2019
Again, it is just great fun to read anything in this series of books. Another mystery - another visit to Savannah Reid as a child, and her Grandmother Stella Reid. When Savannah trips over a body just outside the corn maze they are visiting, the whole mystery begins - because Granny recognizes the victim. The whole book is great reading - but the next to last chapter is absolutely brilliant! (Don't read ahead - you will spoil the fun.)

BeautifulReviewed in the United States on 28 September 2019
So much of the magic of these books is the characters and their journey. The mystery was a little shaky, and I pretty much identified the killer the minute they showed up on the page. But I don’t have a beef with it. The story was charming... and suspenseful.
