I have read all three of this 1st series of books featuring Lady Georgia (Ginger) Gold and am completely enamored with the classical beautiful dressing , both fashion & setting of this murder mystery series. I never figure out who did it, yet with Agatha Christie I always could!

As expected, the wit and humor has followed as they try to solve the case of the moving items and who wanted the girl dead. This will keep you guessing till the end.

Perfect 'cozy' Mystery
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 November 2017Verified Purchase
I am really enjoying this series. The plots are fairly simple really though I didn't figure out 'who done it' til the end, but is none-the-less an enjoyable read. This time Ginger returns to the family home of her late husband to help solve the mystery of a poltergeist - but of course nothing is as it seems and soon she is embroiled in a murder.
The setting in the early 1920's is finely sketched - a couple of historical inaccuracies but this isn't great literature and doesn't pretend to be - it is escapism. A cozy murder mystery. The characters are real and have warmth and charm and there is the underlying mystery of what Ginger really did in the war as well as her tentative relationship with Basil Reed who I am sure will turn up in future works.
really glad I found this series and I hope Ms Strauss has many more stories of Ginger Gold, Haley, Basil and co set to entertain.

I've really enjoyed the Ginger Gold mystery books 1 2and 3.I think my favourite part of these books is the discription of London in the 1920s and the ladies fashions. The stories are well written and although include murders ,are very pleasing . I've just read in Gingers journal how she met Daniel.Need to read about their wedding and war time experiences to bring me up to date.

A very enjoyable read

I've grown to like Ginger Gold and Inspector Reed in these 1920's cosy mysteries. They are not especially taxing but there is enough intrigue to keep you turning the page (metaphorically speaking) and just enough of a hint of romance between the two lead characters to keep you coming back for more. On the whole a vey enjoyable read.

Yet again another brilliant story with wonderful settings all well set in the 1920's
This would make a lovely series but there needs to be more like 12+ as once it starts you will want more and more , just like the books!
Onto the next one!
Thank you, Linda Williams

Very good story and atmosphere. Was able to create a vivid mental picture of all the characters and the locations. Gradually working my way through all the books in the series. Will be very sad when I put down the last one!
