I have had the opportunity to read quite a few books on quantitative methods in education during both my graduate work and more recently as an early career researcher, and this book occupies a singular and positive place among these.

The book explains statistical concepts in plain English. I have a math phobia and this really broke it down so that I could understand what I need to do for my dissertation.

This book is so clear and straightforward. If you have to learn about multiple regression, this is the one for you. I feel like I was able to understand so much about things I haven’t ever understood.

I need to know all about multiple regression for a graduate thesis. I've found this book to be thorough and readable. The book is written in a casual, conversational style as though the author was giving a lecture on the topic. Highly recommended.

This book is a great resource for doing regression and SEM analyses
Reviewed in the United States on 5 January 2016Verified Purchase
This book is a great resource for doing regression and SEM analyses. The writing is incredibly clear and easy to understand, and it's easy to follow the steps for your own analyses. The explanations helped me understand the conceptual underpinnings of the various statistical analyses as well as the more technical steps to take. The examples from different areas of psychology are engaging and accessible and the writing has a subtle sense of humor that makes this book more enjoyable than most statistics textbooks. Overall, I highly recommend this textbook!
