"Why would anyone move into a tent and live on a mountain with no power, no water, and no permanent shelter to speak of?
Something has to have gone wrong."
Back in 2011, Atulya K Bingham ran out of money and found herself camping alone on Mud Mountain, a remote hill in southern Turkey. The adventure changed her profoundly. Eventually, she built a house out of mud, installed solar power, and lived mortgage free for five years. Then in 2016 things began to go wrong once more.
In 2012 Atulya began documenting her experiences. The Mud Mountain Blog started out as a personal log, but over the years grew into something else. Something that reached far wider. The magic of Mud Mountain began to touch others. This is an edited compilation of those blog articles.
Please note: Unlike the paperback version, the ebook isn't illustrated, but you can download a photobook from a link inside the book.

About the author

Atulya K Bingham is a prize winning author and natural builder. In 2011 she found herself out of funds and ended up camping in a Turkish field. There was no power or running water on the land, and she had little outdoors survival knowledge.
A few months later, despite knowing almost nothing about building, Atulya gathered a team and constructed an earthbag house. That story is documented in her popular memoir Mud Ball. She lived on her beloved Mud Mountain in Turkey until August 2016, when a peculiar set of events caused her to leave. You can follow her current adventures and learn plenty more about natural building and off-grid living from her website: www.themudhome.com

I tried to read no more than 2 stories at a sitting so as to allow them to digest and I found everytime I was wrangling with something it would come up in Atulya's writing - loneliness, boundaries, self-belief, putting things into perspective and most of all tuning into my intuition as an translation of the wisdom of the land. I can't wait for the next in the mud series to come out!
