Actual colours deeper - no good for writing with a black pen

The colours are not the same shade as those in the picture.

This means when writing on them with a black marker pen ....
Blue - not able to write on
Green - ok'ish, but not very good
Yellow, white, and red - good

Would be good if blue and green were a lot less bold colours so they can be used. Shades between pastel and deep/base colours would be much better.

Its a big let down as the design of them is really good and would have been a 5* if not for the unusable colours

Good labels, bit tricky to get printer aligned perfectly

These are decent labels. As with any printable label, however, you will inevitably have to muck around with your printer and the word processor template to get it to print properly. A bit of trial and error to get it right. For me, I had to delete the background image from the template to get it to fit properly.

The stickers themselves are good quality and I’ve used them to label 30+ Ethernet cables and a few other electrical issues with no problems. The blue labels didn’t take black or coloured ink too well - they’re just too dark. However all the rest are fine.

If you plan to use a printer, as I said, you’ll have to tweak it a bit through trial and error to get the alignment perfect, but if you’re just going to write on them with a marker pen, these are a great set of labels.

Good labels

These labels are good but not quiet as sticky as I'd hope. None of them have fallen off but they can start to become unstuck were they connect to the wire.

For marking up I started off using black biro but then switched to a fine point permanent marker because it showed up clearer, especially on the red tags. I had a look at the online printer software, which looked relatively straight forward to use, but didn't use it due to having an ink jet printer, which would smudge quick easily on these labels.

These do make life a lot easier, especially if you have gang plug sockets with multiple it's plugged in.

Really good!

If you wish to print your labels, you get a basic Excel spreadsheet to download and populate with the text you want, you can have a different A and B side or, as I chose, the same text on each side. Then you upload the spreadsheet and it gets converted to a PDF template (took a couple of seconds) which has all the text aligned as required for the label sheet. After printing a test sheet onto blank A4 and checking it against a sheet of the labels it all lined up. Printed first label sheet and all was perfect!

If you only need the same label printed multiple times you can enter this in to text boxes on their website and get a PDF template without the need for the Excel spreadsheet.

The spreadsheet is numbered so once you work out how the template populates, even if you print one label you can still reuse the the same sheet by working out the label positions/numbers still left to print.

Of course a dedicated WYSIWIG editor would be better but the instructions are simple, and now my cables are easy to identify. I don't know how the labels will stand the test of time. They feel fairly strong and state they are water and oil proof so they shouldn't fall off, rip or destroy easily in normal use.

I would definitely recommend laser printing as there is a sheen/gloss to the labels due to the PVC like material.

But if you don't wish to print you can simply write on them, but make sure it's a ball point pen.

600 labels is more than I will probably need, so plenty to give to family or friends if not used in a business environment.
