What a fantastic ending to Grateful and Rick's story by the extremely talented Genevieve Jack. This book picks up where Queen of The Hill left off. Grateful has control over two elements and Rick still does not remember their past together. This leaves Grateful to do the nightly patrols by herself. When she sets out to save a woman she sees in the mirror being killed, Grateful is attacked by silver haired Goblins. With the help of friends, she survives the attack. But who has put a price on her head and why. Grateful and Polina feel they must visit their mother the Goddess Hecate, to get some answers. Thus the journey for answers begins for Grateful and along the way she and Rick renew their relationship. I could not put this book down, I had to read it to the finish. It is a fantastical journey through the world of paranormal. With all of Grateful loyal friends on the journey with her. I did not see the ending coming and it fit so perfectly into Grateful's journey. A book I have been waiting for that did not let me down. I highly recommend Mother May I and the whole Knight Games Series as well as anything written by Genevieve Jack. Get these books and start reading today.

A great fast paced enjoyable read but i couldn't help being disappointed when i realised this is the last we will see of Grateful. The story of her relationship with Rick came to its natural conclusion but the ending felt a bit rushed and sudden because the previous story did not seem final enough to be the end. I know there is to be other books from Logans perspective but this series from Gratefuls view should have had a more satisfying, complete end. The whole book was a departure from Gratefuls 'normal' life since she spent most of it away from her home and as such we hardly saw her house, the graveyard and hellmouth, ricks house, or valentines, all familiar settings from the previous books. We did not see her father or her friend Michelle for more than a brief conversation. the wedding at the end was very rushed and quickly shown. For the last one, there should have been more callbacks to the previous books to round it up. I was left wondering why the author finished it there when there was so much more in Gratefuls world . Sad to see it end really because at just four books i was just really getting into this series. Further books from different character perspectives wont be the same.
I have been so hooked on these books and this one has not disappointed me fantastic I really really hope there's going to go another one I want to know what's going to happen next in Gratefull and Ricks life together !!!!! I haven't put the book down since it was uploaded to my kindle yesterday. Please Genevieve don't stop here keep going!!!!!
Brilliant series but the ending felt a little too rushed. I also didn't like some of Grateful's behaviour in the early part of the book it seemed very self serving. If I hadn't read and enjoyed the rest of the series I would have no doubt rated a lot lower. However I still look forward to reading more from Genevieve Jack.

I love Rick and Grateful and this book kept me in anticipation of what was going to happen, action packed but not near long enough. I'm sad now that it's finished but at least I can keep the books for ever and read again and again. Genevieve you are an awesome writer Grateful for Grateful and please continue to write.
