Product Description

Love and Duty—Both Can Get You Killed

Pilot Chris Radkey’s only job in the Mexican jungle is to look after the plane while his Unbounded siblings retrieve a desperately needed cure. It was supposed to be easy. Much easier than seeing his wife murdered by an Emporium hit team, leaving behind two motherless children.

Chris soon finds himself using every ounce of his Renegade training in a desperate struggle to secure dangerous Emporium captives and to save the life of a friend. His “easy” job has become a nightmare, one he may not survive. But the woman he cares about needs him, and he won’t allow anything to stand in his way.

Please note: Mortal Brother is not as long as the books from Erin's point-of-view. This tie-in to the series can be enjoyed at any time. However, the events take place in the Unbounded timeline simultaneously with The Cure (Unbounded Book 2) and extends several days past that novel, so readers may better appreciate Mortal Brother after reading The Cure.

This was a quick and interesting read about Chris, Erin and Jace brother. I didn't read it until after the escape so it explained a little about the relationship that was going in between Chris and Stella. It will be interesting to see how that develops in the reckoning.

I love this author's writing style. As with other stories in this series, this moved quickly and was over too soon. The characters are engaging, and I always want to know more about them.
5.0 out of 5 stars great series, start with the first book 1 June 2017

great series, start with the first book, there's a lot going on and it can get confusing even with the recaps in each book of past events.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great addition to the series! 23 October 2016

This is one of the best Urban Fantasy series I have read in a long time. It is extremely unique, with a very different premise from most UF books out there today...and I read a LOT of UF books! Ms. Brandon is an excellent writer, with a very smooth, clean writing style that makes every book very easy to get completely lost in. I read this series one book after the other in less than a week...I couldn't put them down. I really hope that there are more Unbounded books in the future!

5.0 out of 5 stars Very Sweet Story with Lots of Action 14 November 2015

This story was about Chris, the mortal brother of Erin. It was nice to have a story featuring a mortal, but still in the Unbounded world. There was lots of action and thrilling moments. I really like Irwin's gift and Benito was an unusual addition. The ending was very sweet. Although this was a novella, it did not feel rushed or truncated. It was a full and complete story. I highly recommend this book.
