I am only giving this book because I felt like there are still some lingering questions that remained. What happened to Sherry? Was the attacker ever caught? What about that racist sheriff? Did Will receive a proper funeral? What became of the students she taught? I feel like these questions needed to be answered as they were integral parts of the plot and I feel cheated out of knowing the fate of Sherry especially. There remained so many unanswered questions, even with an epilogue that fast forwarded 6 months into the future. Come on Lena, I want to know the fate of these characters
Moving past the ranting, I loved this book! The characters were so easy to fall in love with and I loved the determination of James aka Jimmy, not willing to relinquish his wife after just having been reunited with her after these years. Their love was pure, their romance was beautiful and I loved that they cleared the air of the "baggage" that they both suffered apart from each other. Will be reading the next book in the series.
