This was a nice short story about a younger son of an Earl trying to make something of himself. The Amazon blurb is misleading as it speaks about his brother William's invention, but in fact it is the father of the woman he has loved for 5 years. He goes off to steal the scientific formula from the uncle of the h, in order to gain the hand of the woman he has loved for so long. Once he meets the h the sparks fly and everything changes.
A nice short story if you want to kill a bit of time. Both the H and h are lovely people and even though the author only had a little time to flesh the characters out, you don't feel short-changed

Very warm , tender bookReviewed in the United States on 18 June 2014
I enjoyed this book immensely. It was sweet and fun, and the characters were believable. I've read several of her books and this one is not as vivid, but just as lovable as the others. It is good when a writer has the capacity for style changes. Read it, I believe you'll like it too!
Absolutely delightful!Reviewed in the United States on 17 May 2016
A wonderfully pure and simple story punctuated by harmless deceits and diversions, the best of which was love. Highly recommend.
Good read and quickReviewed in the United States on 9 May 2013
This was a good read. It just ended so quick like it was rushed. there were several stories that could have been shared in greater detail, such as Ivy, her father and her cousin. Still I enjoyed it
In a Moonlit Garden...reviewReviewed in the United States on 15 May 2013
I truly enjoyed this book, it was short but we'll written. I would rather read a book that is short, than read a book that goes on and on and on, taking forever to get to the point. Very good read!!!!
