Product Description

A delightfully inventive retelling of The Big Bad Wolf.

From New York Times and USA Today bestselling author, Victoria Danann.

Winner BEST Vampire~Shifter Novel of the year (The Paranormal Romance Guild) with 200+ five-star reviews.

The New Jersey home of the Black Swan knights is turned upside down when immortal teenage French-speaking vampires see a rerun of Animal House and try to reenact the movie while drunk on synthetic blood.

Meanwhile, Stalkson Grey, the king of the Elk Mountain werewolves has a serious problem. If he doesn't solve the mystery of why his tribe is birthing only male cubs, they could be facing extinction within a generation. Grey rankles at the suggestion of asking for help, but desperation trumps pride when the grumpy alpha grudgingly requests assistance from the Order of Black Swan.

The Order offers the services of a demon named Deliverance who brokers a deal with a human population faced with the opposite problem, too many girls. Just when it looks like the crisis may be resolved, Grey shocks even himself by kidnapping a bride. She proves to be a handful. Obstinate. Willful. And perfect in every way.

4.0 out of 5 stars SUSPENSEFUL, GRIPPING HEARTFELT & ROMANTIC! 6 September 2013

*Jumps up & down screaming*

This book has what books 2 & 3 failed to deliver on... A clear path in mind with the telling of the plot growth/reveals in this on going saga.

Everything in this one is well balanced. There isn't any pointless ramblings or too much time spent on happenings that aren't directly involved with the happenings & development of the main characters or plot. Plus, what's going on with plot & other characters is actually interesting.

The development of the on going plight of The Order of the Black Swan will leave you riveted & begging for more. This is what you want. The pacing in this one was on point. From Elora to Ram, Storm & Litha, Glen *swoon*, the Fae Prince & Ram's sister Song, to finally the man of the hour who this book is about... Stalkson Grey the Alpha King and the plight of his pack.

And I must say I loved the time we get with he & his mate Luna they were perfect for each other IMO. But what made this work & made it believable is that you get time with them. REAL time with them. You see them as individuals coming together forming an intense, heartfelt bond. And did I mention how hot it got? *Whew*

There were moments where I felt the emotion coming off the pages. Not just with him & Luna, but the scene with he & his son Win *tears*

Even the demon Deliverance is seen with more layers in this one & I'm lovin this.

There is so much going on in this one no different than the other books, but as I said above this one is balanced. The writing is tighter. The events unfolding are more structured & executed superbly. I couldn't get enough of this book. It took me back to the happy places I experienced while reading book 1, but just a little more intense.

I said in my review for book 3 that if book 4 failed to grab me in any way, that I was done with this series. Well, it grabbed me for the entirety of the book. I can't wait for these few weeks to pass so that I can dive into book 5. I highly recommend this read.

***This is a series that you MUST read in order***

4.0 out of 5 stars Demons, vamps, weres, love, sex, babies, hybrids and inter-dimensional travel. Phew! 1 September 2015

Victoria Danann deftly weaves complex and multi-leveled stories throughout the chapters of this series' books and her remarkable skill maintains throughout this one. Characters from all previous books interact here -- with one of the main plot narratives being Stalkson Grey, king of the Elk Mountain werewolves. The Order of the Black Swans is called on to aid with re-location of weres, inter-dimensional travel and curing vampires while maintaining vigilance against threats to this world's occupants. Whew. The characters continue to grow with ever evolving stories. Not as much action or suspense this time around but still a fine read for a hugely complicated world within multiple (infinite?) other worlds. The tales to be told seem limitless (as does the quirky sarcastic and humorous dialogue).

The story continues and it is great but be sure to read the previous books or you will be thoroughly lost. These stories are NOT stand alone (except for book one), each story always introduces a couple or situation and while telling it, it breaks into series of updates on the life of the Knights of Black Swan, this would be great as long as you have been reading the series.

This story focus is That of werewolf king Grey Stacklson and his epic change for a human of another dimension and what happens when he realizes he can't live without her and

I love this series. With each book, it always achieves the impossible and becomes better and better. The author continues to introduce new characters who are always different from the previous characters, but just as interesting, intriguing, and sexy in their own way. At the same time, without being confusing at all, she keeps us apprised of the continuing saga of the lives of our old favorites. I am desolate that there are currently no more of these wonderful stories to read and impatiently await the availability of book 5. Whatever you have to pay for it, any of the works of this author is worth it. I hope book 5 tells us more about the budding romance between Song and her fairie prince. Of course, I'm mesmerized by the beautiful werewolf and look forward to finding out what happens with him and the love of his life.

Moonlight by Victoria Danann
Review by Georgianna Simpson

Book four of the Chronicles of the Black Swan, Moonlight (whose afraid of the big bad wolf?) is another wonderful episode in the incredibly exciting lives of the Black Swan knights. If you haven't gotten into this series yet, what's your issue? LOL These wonderful books chronicle the lives of the knights of the Black Swan a secret organization of heroes that keep human and other safe from evil and especially vampires in a dimension much like our own.
Book four starts at the end of book three, with Elora and Ram at their beautiful country home in Ireland, which is now full of guards due to the inter-dimensional attack made on Elora while she gave birth to their wonderful little boy, Helm, in a wolf cave in an ice storm! Whoa! To keep their son safe they have decided to return, temporarily, to the Order's Headquarters at Jefferson Unit. This to be until an inter-dimensional activity detector can be made to alert them of any future attacks.
As wonderfully typical of Ms. Danann's books, this one is filled with action and many different stories within the story. The main focus of this book is the situation with the werewolves. They are being crowded and are in need of more females for mates before they dwindle to extinction. For some unknown reason they are birthing more male than females. Too that end, Stalkson Grey, King of Elk Mountain and the 13 remaining tribes of werewolves, went to Jefferson Unit and the Black Swan scientist Monq to seek a solution to their problems. Stalkson has never approved of human mates for werewolves and certainly for himself. He's been a bit restless lately and is unsure of the cause. I won't do any more spoilers on his story...just know it's a real eye-opener for him and "old dogs" do learn new tricks!
There is a continuation of Ram's sister, the elven princess Alesong, and her forbidden romance with the fairy Prince Duff Torquil. I'm hoping this will be a theme that will induce a book of their own!
One of the more comic notes is that while going through the "passes" or traveling through dimensions, Storm's mate Litha, gets followed by four vampires from another dimension. They really don't mean harm and make an interesting side story to helping ex-vampire Istvan Baka begin elimination of vampire in this dimension.
All in all, the story arc is moved along greatly while still keeping in touch with all the wonderful characters from the others, as well as delving deeper into some of the others.
This is a marvelously entertaining series and well worth the time of keeping up! Victoria Danann is a very talented writer with a simply glorious imagination! I'm enjoying this series and can't wait for more!
