This is one of my favourite series the author never fails to draw the read in. Main characters are likeable & make me invest in them enough that I want to see what adventures are to come for them. Bring on the next book please.

I got tied after the third and hoped more in this I wonโt be reading any more of this series.
TOP 500 REVIEWER
Ok so this one goes on a tangent with ghost ships and potions, and I am sure the author had a lot of fun making it all up. It was a fun read which is all I am looking for in this series, plus I want to read all about him having tons of kids and trying to look after them. The only real problem is the next generation if they are all siblings. Even though the book is called monster girl islands, I was a bit off put when the MC thought of them as monster girls rather than just girls that he cared about, but a minor issue. Also one glaring typo where a boar carcass is called a boat carcass, I hope it tasted good anyway.

This part of the adventure sees Ben heading back to his home island in a new ship. It sees old friends rejoining and lots of action at home (both violence and romance types). A new threat is here to destroy the peace that Been is creating and as the true Draco Rex, Ben meets it head on. A great addition and now to read book 5. Do yourself a favor and start this series if you haven't already and if you have what are you reading this review for. Just read it already!

Another great continuation.

So glad this series is still on going and people are enjoying it.
Another great book, in which we see the "kind of" origin of the orc pirate people. More slice of life fun, filled with moments of mystery and plenty of action.
Looking forward to book 5.

Definitely an action packed story with lots going on, I'm looking forward to seeing what will happen next and what will be the next people to be saved in the series.

Haremlit with adult situations
If one ignores the scale of the islands versus the sheer number of large animals and just go along with fantasy facts, it's an enjoyable read. No hints yet whether Jonas is stepping up to cover for Ben who is clearly not helping an island with over a hundred and fifty single women eager to be mothers. He clearly has his favorites, despite promises otherwise. I'm thinking the dragonkin women might insist on a new set of games until the next 20 or so are selected, and the queen insists he do his promised duty. A few deer women might also insist. However, if Jonas is making some women happy, that would take the pressure off. Besides, the more pregnant women, the more diverse the gene pool. If Ben brings more critter, er... monster girls home, his not fulfilling his role should become a problem. Five kids out of 150 plus women is a poor growth rate. Oh, right. Fantasy facts. Looking for book 5.

More Sword and Sorcery greatness.

This book is great. I loved how there was more magic in this book, and that the biggest enemy in this book wasn't the orcs, but their undead, ghostly precursors. I also enjoyed how the dragonkin and the deer women cultures mixed and how they interacted with each other. The use of potions was also interesting, not to mention the innovative way that the main character made use of them as weapons against his enemies. As a huge fan of the sword and sorcery genre, this book pushed all the right buttons for me. Bring on the next one in this series, I'm more than ready for it. Thank you, Logan Jacobs.

New beginnings and new enemies! ๐๐
Reviewed in the United States on 21 June 2020Verified Purchase
Logan Jacobs does it again! This book was awesome. It had more action and story progression, less on the sex scenes though (I was okay with that ๐). What I really enjoyed with this book, was the introduction of a new type of enemy: the maldungs. If you want to know what a โmaldungโ is, youโre going to have to read the book (Sorry, I know Iโm a horrible teaser ๐). Iโm SO glad that the family aspects of the story were brought back in this one, and I really enjoyed the peaceful and harmonious unity of the two different monster girl species. Really warms the heart to see two different kinds of โpeopleโ unite together to face the evil that is corrupting their world, the orcs. Overall, great story! Thank you Logan Jacobs for writing it! Look forward to the next one! ๐๐๐ป
