Purchased Nov of 2015 for $1.62. We have a 55" LED TV mounted to the wall (fixed wall mount) and all the HDMI connections are at the back. If I were to connect an HDMI cable to the back of the TV as is, it would get horribly kinked and bent. To avoid this, I bought this elbow and it has worked flawlessly. I connect my laptop via this connector to watch home made videos on TV. As of now, I have not encountered any degraded video or sound quality.
Lessons learned: Don't purchase the wrong angle elbow like I did... The dummy I am, I bought the 90 degree elbow without thinking to check if it would work with my TV. Well, I found out the hard way that I needed the 270 degree elbow, not the 90 degree one... Also, if you have big hands and a fixed wall mount, I recommend taking the TV off the mount, connect the elbow to it (with cable already connected to elbow), then mounting the TV back up again. It can get incredibly frustrating to squeeze your hand behind the TV while it's mounted and trying to feel your way to the TV's HDMI connection.
In the end, if I am ever in need of another HDMI elbow, I would buy this one again due to it's reliability.
Are tight spaces giving you a problem connecting your HDMI cable. Tired of having to move your equipment just to reach those hard-to-get-to-places. Use an HDMI port saver to save time and effort in your cable setup. Our 270 degree HDMI port saver (male to female) gives you the flexibility you need without risking bending your HDMI cables excessively, which may damage the cable or, even worse, the ports on your expensive equipment. This port saver will help ease the strain at the point of connection to eliminate damage to the HDMI ports on your devices. Dimensions: 1. 09 inches x 0. 64 inches x 0. 78 inches WARNING: Since port alignment differs from one device to another, it is difficult to state which way this port saver will point on your particular device. For that reason, we offer two different angled models, one with a 90 degree bend, which angles toward the beveled side of the connector, and a 270 degree connector, which points in the opposite direction. Please look at the orientation of the HDMI port on your device to determine how it is aligned and whether this port saver will point your cable in the direction you desire.
