From the moment I opened the box I thought these shoes looked more cheaply made then my previous mizuno’s I wanted to retire. They’re still nice looking shoes so I ignored that and tried them on. The fit felt just about perfect, not too big, not too small. The cushion/shock absolution felt good, and they weren’t too heavy.
They felt fine for a short amount of time but I quickly realized they were going to be hard to break in. If anything I thought they were just stiff because they were new so I started wearing them around the house just to see if they’d get better before I ran in them. After a few wears I wore them on a 1 mile walk. Nothing I’d consider difficult, if anything it was more of a test for the shoes.
I can withstand a good amount of pain so when I felt my feet hurting I remember wondering if my socks had possibly fallen down or something was in my shoe, etc. I checked once or twice and after realizing it was nothing I ignored it and kept walking. When I got home and took off my shoes I noticed my heels and ankles were raw. Once the redness went down some I saw that I had blisters the size of quarters on my heels and my ankles had been rubbed so much that one had started to scab. I was tempted to show a picture but I didn’t want to be too graphic.
It wasn’t the end of the world but it definitely was not super comfortable.
I was pretty tough with my rating because I’ve never had any issues with any of my other mizuno’s I’ve had in the past. I still plan on giving these shoes a try and I’ll update my review! I hope anyone else who has these shoes or is planning on purchasing them has better luck!
