And while I love the magical foundation of this, you really don't have to be a pagan to benefit from it. It's for everyone interested in essential oils.
As any good essential book does it starts with some history and some basic EO information and safety guidelines. Several chapters discuss blending: by botanical family, by scent/fragrance, and by perfume/note. There are several blend recipes throughout the book.
The next section gets into more of the magic/Wiccan uses and talks about "above and below" groupings. Basically grouping by plant/herb part. Above the ground and below the ground. My favorite part of the book was regarding carrier oils as I haven't encountered a book that goes into depth on carriers. Finally the book closes with oil profiles.
I do find value in this book even though I am not using it for magic or Wiccan purposes
I recommend this book to anyone interested in the healing benefits of essential oils and how, by blending different oils, you can create a calming and positive atmosphere for you and your personal space.
