Product Description

From the New York Times Bestselling authors of Cocky Bastard and Stuck-Up Suit, comes a sexy new standalone novel.

I met Bianca in an elevator.

She was on her way to interview me when we got stuck.
The beautiful raven-haired reporter assumed I was a delivery guy because of the way I was dressed.

She had no clue I was really Dex Truitt, the wealthy, successful businessman she’d dubbed “Mister Moneybags”―her afternoon appointment.

Bianca told me how much she hated Dex’s type―snobby, over educated, silver-spooned men who didn't appreciate the simple things in life.

So, after the elevator finally started moving again, I cancelled the interview and let her believe I was someone I wasn’t―a bike messenger named Jay. I loved the way she looked at the fake me and didn't want it to end.

I began dating her as “Jay”―all the while letting her interview the real me over email.

I didn’t expect that our chemistry online would be just as hot.
I didn’t expect the mess I’d gotten myself into.
I didn’t expect that Jay and Dex would fall in love with her.

And she was falling for two men.
Only, both men were me.
And when she found out, we were both going to lose her.

Nothing could have prepared me for that day. And I certainly wasn't prepared for what came after.

All good things must come to an end, right?
Except our ending was one I didn't see coming.

I was glued to this story. The fabulous duo of Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward have struck gold again...this time with the funny, witty, brilliant, sexy and fast paced 'Mister Moneybags'. I must say that I love this author team, I've read everything that the two have co-written and I've enjoyed each and every one - all 5 stars, this one should be 6 stars if I could.

This is the story of Dexter "Dex" Truitt and Bianca George. They find themselves stuck in an elevator and things get off on the wrong foot. Bianca has a preconception of the infamous "Mister Moneybags" - (her nickname for the recluse billionaire) Dexter Truitt whom she is on her way to interview. Given that no one knows what Mr. Truitt looks like, Dex decides not to tell Bianca the truth but to lie to her about his identity and creates Jay on the spot. Of course, Jay and Bianca hit it off!

Dex had me cracking up throughout this book! His thoughts and conversations with his dog were fantastic. And the banter between him and Bianca was fast, witty and highly entertaining. "Jay" was swoon worthy, and I think if I had been in Bianca's position I would have had a very hard time choosing one over the other!

As with the other titles co-written by Keeland and Ward, the characters are well developed and easy to relate to. The conversations that take place between them are down right hilarious at times and I found myself swiping at a fast pace.

This is flirty, fun, with steam and angst - it's really an all round "can't get enough" read that you will love... I'd like to say something more eloquent but really - It's just great! Plus there is an awesome bonus short story by Penelope Ward called Jaded and Tyed - a small follow up to Neighbor Dearest (not that you'd need to read that first!)

Ahhh the dynamic duo, Vi Keeland and Penelope Ward strike again with this wonderfully written story.
Mister Moneybags is the name Bianca George bestowes on millionaire businessman Dex Truitt, her newest interview subject. Unfortunately for Bianca Dex is quite the mystery man and she has no idea what he looks like, so when she gets stuck in an elevator with a hot guy on her way to Dex's office she has no way of knowing he's Mister Moneybags himself. Dex decides to keep Bianca in the dark and assumes a new identity to try and get to know her. But what happens when Dex realises that he's jealous of his 'other' self 'Jay'? Can Bianca forgive Dex for his lies? Add some shared family skeletons and things could go pear shaped really fast. Can these two put past and present lies and deceit behind them and find real love?
Fantastic read with well developed characters that suck you in and make you want to keep reading.

Bianca George never imagined that when she went to interview the man she's dubbed 'Mister Moneybags' she'd fall in love. Except with secrets of the past coming to light and the man she's falling for spinning lies, how is Bianca supposed to trust that things will work out, especially when her connection with Dex Truitt could turn out to be something they never imagined possible.

What a highly entertaining, fast-paced, beguiling read Ms. Keeland and Ms. Ward have penned in this story, which grabbed my attention from the very beginning and didn't let go until the end. The way this story started had me laughing at the playful banter between Dex and Bianca. He does his best to keep her from flipping out too much at the situation they're in, yet he has his work cut out for him. What is he supposed to do when she reveals just what she thinks of the man she believes him to be?

The dialogue was compelling and made me laugh, made me cry and made this story a real page turner for me, as Dex seems to continue to dig himself deeper into a mess he may not be able to get himself out of with the lies he's racking up. Will Bianca be able to forgive him when she isn't a fan of people that don't tell the truth? How will she react when she learns the truth? Indeed, I could sympathize with Bianca in the moment when Dex admits everything, but the hero's lies are nothing compared to the secrets of the past that are revealed. Secrets that threaten the relationships Bianca has with Dex and those of her family? Will Bianca be able to forgive her parents? Will she be able to help her sister deal with a shocking secret that's revealed?

Bianca is strong and brave with the way she handles everything thrown at her.

When Dex gets stuck in an elevator with a stunning spitfire with anxiety issues, he's instantly captivated, simultaneously wanting to spend more time with her and get to know her better. Upon finding out that a) she's on her way to interview him, and b) she has a rather low opinion of 'Mr Moneybags', he makes a split second decision. It suddenly seems that the only way he could feasibly spend more time in her company is if he were someone else. Anyone else.

Thus 'Jay', the bike messenger is born, and after the obnoxious 'Dex' cancels the interview, the two wind up spending a good portion of the day together.

Right from the start, this book had 'trainwreck' written all over it and while the blow up that comes when that deception is finally uncovered might have been somewhat predictable, there is little else that is.

Penelope Ward and Vi Keeland have their characters not only falling in love but, seemingly from left field, have them confronting quandaries and obstacles that have them both questioning whether the old adage that 'love will find a way' is true or not.

After such an ignoble start, understandably much of the drama revolves around secrets and lies. Whether to tell the truth, when to tell the truth and how much of the truth should be told are issues that confront not just the hero and heroine of this little tale, but more than a few of the secondary characters as well.

Funny, cheeky, irreverent and yet often quickly changing tone completely to be serious, thoughtful and introspective, I think this book will have readers questioning their own values and preconceived notions even as the main characters come face to face with theirs.

For me, I found this first person dual point of view standalone to be my favorite yet of the works from this dynamic duo, and somewhere in there there's something about a goat. :D
