Just Beautiful!Reviewed in Canada on 27 January 2017
I really loved this novel - the story was so heartwarmingly beautiful, it just grabbed me - Peter was a forever lover for Imogen, to him she was perfect and her blindness was just going to be part of their life and not a complication that couldn't be handled. I like the characters in this series and the way the author has handled the characters and subject matters in a light and not over dramatic fashion - a nice light read.
Second novella in seriesReviewed in the United States on 3 February 2015
Imogen George offers to marry her brother's friend Peter Watson so he won't lose everything and go to debtor's prison. He had gambled away the family's money. She was a heiress and could pay off his debts and still have enough for them to live on. She also knew she was going blind and the marriage would help her also. She and Peter were friends and even not in love could have a marriage of convenience. A week before the wedding he inherits money and becomes a Baronet. She knows she can not let him marry her he should find someone he loves. She releases him and he leaves for London . She now becomes completely blind and is unable to write anymore. Peter returns a year after he left and finds out about Imogene .He now knows why she hasn't written any new books in a year. This novella has a nice surprise and since it is a romance has the HEA.

Imogen and Peter intrigued me from the first book (Miss Watson's first scandal) and I looked forward to reading their story. I did enjoyed this more than the first but there were some contradictory parts on what happened before and character changes. However, the way Peter was so upset the first time Imogen released him from their arrangement now that he no longer needed to marry an heiress just tugged at my heart and I only cared for his HEA. Ive grown attached to their beach community in only 2 novellas and I look forward to reading more from this series.
