Book Description
You're about to discover how you can create the most extraordinary life you've ever imagined... Right NOW
The Miracle Morning shows how a morning routine built around 6 key practices known as "Life S.A.V.E.R.S" - silence, affirmations, visualisation, exercise, reading and scribing - can help you get more done and live your best life. Most people don't think they have time to change their lives or achieve their goals but Hal has proven you can start achieving your goals today by devoting only 1 minute to each of these practices every day. The Miracle Morning system now has thousands of fans who have transformed their lives by spending just one minute on each of these activities every morning.
From the Publisher
At age 20, Hal Elrod was hit head-on by a drunk driver at 70 mph, was dead for six minutes, and doctors told his parents that if Hal ever came out of his coma, he would have permanent brain damage and may never walk again. After six days fighting for his life, Hal proved that we all have the ability to overcome any obstacle and create the life of our dreams. Not only did he walk, he became an ultra-marathon runner, hall of fame business achiever, international keynote speaker, success coach, husband, father, hip-hop recording artist, and multiple-time #1 bestselling author of The Miracle Morning: The 6 Habits That Will Transform Your Life Before 8AM and Taking Life Head On: How To Love the Life You Have While You Create the Life of Your Dreams - two of the highest rated and most acclaimed books on Amazon.com (just read a few of the 200+ five-star reviews, and you'll see why!).Hal has appeared on dozens of radio and TV shows, and he's been featured in numerous books, including The Education of Millionaires, Cutting Edge Sales, Living College Life in the Front Row, The Author's Guide To Building An Online Platform, The 800-Pound Gorilla of Sales and the bestselling Chicken Soup for the Soul series. Great quick and uncomplicated read. Very different strategy from anything I've read before but after reading through the book twice from start to finish, I made the commitment to follow its principles. Not only have I taken back control of my wasted mornings (continually pressing the snooze button) but my productiveness has filtered into the rest of my day. This book has made me so much more aware of how I use (or waste) my time. I've purged all time wasting activities and for the first time kept actively working towards my most important goals. I recommend this book for anyone who has tried all the other traditional goal setting techniques and never got anywhere....or for anyone going through a life slump and seriously wants to overhaul everything. Although the concept might seem a tad way out at first, once you commit to it...you will see noticeable changes.

Well I'm still doing a 20 minute walk first thing in the morning so I think worth the money I paid for the book....but like most American books it's message is based on 'how to get more money' and .that's all that counts and that will solve all your problems..

Wouldn’t say you wake up everyday feeling like it’s Christmas. Definitely added value and purpose to my mornings (although I still don’t wake up before the sunrise). Teaches you how to take just one hour (or even just 6 minutes) out of your day to be productive. Would definitely recommend to anyone! 100% worth the money.
*only con is the consistent promotion to other resources of Hal Elrod but every self-development book seems to do that nowadays

This book has changed the way I live everyday. I was a little skeptical at first when I first started reading the book but as soon as I finished it (which took me 3 days because I couldn't put it down) I started getting up with purpose the very next day. This was 4 months ago and I won't look back. Hal has put together a fantastic, practical, life changing way of approaching every day and it changes your life. This book is an investment. Thanks Hal!

I have just finished reading this book and have been practicing the miracle morning throughout the way. I have more energy and clarity and now I know exactly what I need to do to keep moving towards the life I desire (I was feeling stuck before this). Amazing, but keep an open mind as you read it... You will need to commit

I loved the fact that the miracle morning is customisable and doesn't force readers into the belief structures of the writer, but can easily be moulded to fit anybody's beliefs and lifestyle. Thanks Hal, I am loving my miracle morning!

Full of fillers. Just Google ‘SAVERS’
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 October 2019Verified Purchase
This book got a lot of hype and great reviews, so thought I’d give it a go. Have to say, I was pretty disappointed! It was a thin book to begin with, but probably 95% of the contents was just filler and the author’s life story. All you actually needed to know is the ‘SAVERS’ principle if you want to try it out - which you could Google and learn about in 5 minutes. If you’ve read this, Ive just saved you a tenner and 4 hours of your life. You’re welcome.

Mixed feelings

I've been spending a lot of time recently on a personal development mission. So like many others, I have come across a lot of sources mentioning the habits of some of the world's most successful people.
The habits Hal mentions in the book I sincerely believe are life changing and some of the most profoundly valuable changes one can make in their life.
However, the way this book is written is almost like a long blog piece that has been written countless times before by countless other people with several anecdotes/personal stories that sound highly exaggerated almost to the point of being out of a cheesy feel-good movie or TV infomercial.
The worst thing about the book is the really obnoxious claims implying as thogub it's the best book ever written and the only one that will somehow allow the reader to achieve every conceivable success imaginable just my carrying out his Miracle Morning routine for a month or two.
This book would have been so much better without the heavy publicity, the countless requests to gift the book and advertise Hal. It feels insulting to pay for a book which then seems like a glorified advert so often.
I'm committed to adopting the habits Hal espouses as do so many other self-help figures and definitely am glad I read this but feel like it could have been so much better without the brick to the face sales approach to put more money in Hal's pockets.

A few good ideas buried in salesmanship
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2019Verified Purchase
PROS:
- good ideas and intentions
- simple yet effective techniques
- you may have not come across some of the ideas
CONS:
- very poor writing. Not up to standard for a book (passable for a blog)
- lots of in-book advertising for the author's websites and services. This is not acceptable and frustrating since the reader has already spent money for the book
- very little content: it could easily be summed up in 50 or less pages
- lot of fillers and anecdotal rambling
- lacks depth and arguments are weak and poorly explained
- not good value for money: do not buy this full price! There are many other better reads out there

This BOOK is just WOW
Reviewed in India on 20 April 2019Verified Purchase
First, the overall premise is not a bad idea. However:
The target audience of this book is someone who has never read any personal development books and views the whole genre suspiciously. For me, it smacked of a basic thesis, padded with a hasty potpourri of other people's ideas and coated with gushing "you can have the life of your dreams!" promises. I found myself having to skim through basic explanations of meditation and visualization to get at what Elrod was offering as far as original thinking.
If this were a blog post, not a 150 page book, I would probably have appreciated it more. The basic premise could be summarized thus:
To improve our lives, we must improve ourselves
The morning is the best time for self improvement (have energy, quiet, easier to make time)
Spending an hour doing a little of few good practices goes a lot way to self improvement
Those exercises are:
Silent meditation
Affirmations
Visualization of the day ahead
Exercise
Reading, particularly to learn something
Scriving (aka Writing, journaling)
10 minutes each.
I'm going to try this general idea because I don't think it is bad; I just wish I didn't have to slog through so much text for so little information.
