My girl, 14 with osteoarthritis, is up & down all night trying to get comfy. No more! Came in last night (towel's cause she's bit damp) & slept soundly all night! 1 happy old Lab says it's pawtastic & her mum can't recommend highly enough!

Miller so far likes it ! I should have gotten the X-Large for a bit more room but he usually curls up small while sleeping anyways so it will do. So far no complaints ! This is the large bed and Miller just turned 2 yesterday, and weighs 125 lbs. ( for size reference ) :).

My darling girl is getting on and I’ve recently been having problems with her elbow calluses swelling up and getting infected from pressure sores. The problem is she’s always persisted in sleeping on the hard floor no matter how many beds I try and buy. She does like sleeping in her favourite chair, however, and in a fit of desperation to get her off the floor recently, I made her a little ‘bed’ one day of sofa cushions covered with a towel. She took to this immediately and then I realised that it might be a little height she’s looking for. So I took a chance on one of these and oh my god, what a revelation! They’re a perfect size - even for a big lump like her - and very firm, too, which surprised me as I’m used to dog beds generally being quite subpar (I suppose the actual customers can’t really complain!). My dog currently weighs 39kgs (yes, she’s on a diet!) so you can see how firm this is from the photo. Anyway, I now have two of these: one in the bedroom and the other in the conservatory under a big table. She doesn’t like to be too hot though so I’ve covered them with the Dreamsoule XL cooling pads which are great and recommended if you want a cooling buffer that’s lightweight and also completely washable. Cover on the bed is removeable too but seems to sustain a fair bit of use and muddy paws, etc. without much problem. All in all, I am absolutely delighted with this purchase and will be buying one more for the other hard area in the kitchen she tends to gravitate towards. Just two weeks and all the swelling in her elbows has gone down, she’s got somewhere super comfy to sleep on, and another comfy spot by the back conservatory door to watch out for that dastardly, interloper fox that keeps occasionally walking across the back fence! Love my baby girl <3. It’s taken me long enough to work out what makes her happy so I’m just delighted I found these for her. Thank you to the manufacturers! If I can make a recommendation it’s that you please come up with a separate cooler cover for the summer as this would be ideal :)

However it is in essence a piece of foam with a cover on it. Which I guess if I was so inclined I could have made myself - but as time is short - I am happy and so is pickle! Haven’t tried washing the cover yet, so can’t comment whether it shrinks. Update: have now washed the cover. Did it on a cold wash and dried it outside. Has not shrunk at all and went back on very easily.
