This is almost identical with it's prequel, Shadow of Mordor. This is not a bad thing though as shadow of Mordor is one of my favorite PS4 games. The changes in this game is mostly cosmetic which is good as Shadow of Mordor was a bit too much greyscale while this game has more variety! Recommended for it addictive button bashing nature!
I played the first game to death, I absolutely adored it and it was my first platinum on the PS4. However, playing the sequel left me bored and desperate for more. The map is incredibly annoying as it is centred around a castle (and an underground castle?) so stealth never really works, which was the biggest appeal for me. I found everything else wasn't much different, and aside from an improved weapon/armour system, I had nothing to keep me playing. Also it was surprisingly difficult to figure out which quest was required to progress the main storyline, as the game seems to display every quest line to begin with. I must have played ~10 hours then resold it.
If you wanna part of the middle earth while fighting with orcs, this is the game. Even though, it is a little bit repetitive, it is still worth it. Game also got much better after they removed micro transactions.
