First of all, this will not necessarily work for gaming so lower your expectations a bit. For text entry though, it's ideal. I use it with Game Builder Garage to enter text and comments. It works with no issues right out of the box, just plug it in. You may not like the way the keys feel, but it does it's job well. And I love the fact that I can attach the joycons to it. They're held just as firmly as if they were attached to the Switch. Overall, definitely worth it.

I got this to make it easier to type and play when i have my switch connected to the tv. It works great right out of the box, no need to pair it. The cord is a perfect length for me . Doesn’t charge the controllers but that’s ok for me since i already have a charging station connected for other controllers.
