"A fun sweet romance to curl in a chair with and get lost in." -- Books Are Love

Kane's a country singer who's tangled with too many deceitful women. He's learned his lesson: girls are for flirting and fun; emotions are for his music. But after spending a night with an earnest woman unlike any he's known, he can't force her out of his mind. So he goes in search of the woman he knows only as "Elle."

On her last night in Nashville, the staunchly pragmatic Sabella found herself in a situation more suited to a romance novel than reality. Swept away, she ignored her rigidly self-imposed rules, succumbing to the fantasy just this once. But she knows real-world relationships have nothing in common with their fictionalized portrayals. When Kane unexpectedly shows up at her Portland apartment, she must choose between the practical truths she has learned and the desire for a passionate love she has struggled to suppress.

Despite the distance, Kane's tour schedule, and their meddling friends, both are drawn to the chance for a romance neither quite believes is possible.

5.0 out of 5 stars Mending Heartstrings 9 February 2016
By romanticreadsandsuch - Published on Amazon.com
I think the main things I like so much about this one is that there aren’t TOO many misunderstandings or drama. There are a couple of places where their hangups got the better of them but they are handled realistically and well. I saw a lot of places where Glazki could have created even more trouble for Kane and Sabella but instead it is a sweet piece about people trying to get to know each other, fall in love and find a way to be together.

There’s also a good opportunity for more great stories with Kane’s bandmates (& Ella’s friend) and I’m looking forward to them getting their own HEA. I really like seeing the friendship that had developed between the three guys and a glimpse at how they are together on the stage & on the road.

Sometimes you are in the mood for a lot of turmoil and sometimes you are in the mood for something a little more relaxed – this definitely falls into that second category. The characters are down to earth, with real life (well, as real life as you can get when one of you is a recording artist) issues and interactions. You can totally put yourself in their shoes.

5.0 out of 5 stars Sweet and Sincere 9 February 2016

Mending Heartstrings is a sweet and refreshing romance. A delightful and quick read that follows the budding relationship of a writer from Portland, Sabella, and a country singer on the road, Kane.

Coming from such different backgrounds, they are forced to overcome many obstacles in order to even begin a relationship. But once Sabella joins Kane on the road their hearts begin to open up. The book deals with some pretty tough issues through Sabella's best friend, Gina, but does so with grace and respect. A sobering reminder that the world keeps spinning around the characters romance. Yet the trials only make their love that much more precious.

5.0 out of 5 stars Be Still My Heart 25 February 2016
By Jessica - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
I'd be lying if I said I didn't enjoy this one bit. In fact, I think I'm in love with Mending Heartstrings. Like, legit love. I knew once I had seen the blurb that this story would be the one for me. Don't ask me how I know, I just do. From the very first page, I melted. Kane didn't really do anything special, other than the fact he's a musician and I have a thing for those... Not that I've actually ever dated one, but you get the gist.

From that first meeting between Kane and Elle, hell, there was NO going back. They instantly had that click; that instant attraction. It wasn't like some books where they want to jump in the sack right away. It was more real than anything. These two beautiful people want nothing more to be together but life and certain feelings may end up keeping them apart. What's stopping them? Well, I guess right now, you want to know. Good! That means you can pick the book up and see for yourself how wonderful the story is.

Can the two overcome fears to be together?

Kane and Elle are a great example of love and what love means. It isn't always easy, but it's so worth it. I absolutely adored the book's depth; it was at times light and other times serious. I think a good balance in books is always good to have. The only problem I would have with the book was the fact that it seemed a little bit too rushed in the end for me. Other than that, I think it was faultless. Do I want more Kane and Elle? Hell yes, I do! I think readers will enjoy this heartfelt story full of hope, music, and two loving characters that don't give up.

4.0 out of 5 stars A sweet romance that exceeds my expectations. 11 February 2016
By Sherry Fundin - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Mending Heartstrings by Aria Glazki is a sweet romance novel that exceeded my expectations. Romance is not one of my favorite genres, no murder or blood and guts massacres, but some of the ugly things in life does make this read as if it could be happening to a friend of mine…or yours.

Ordinary girl meets country singer.

Who wouldn’t jump at the chance to take a road trip with your very own hottie?

She’ll be traveling with Kane, Bobby, Steve…and Mitch.

Well, Sabella does. She is not your drop dead gorgeous with a figure to die for kind of gal. She is more like the girl next door and I want so much for her not to get in over her head and have her heart broken.

I love her friend, Gina. Feeling down, Gina will raise you up. I used to have a friend that reminds me so much of Gina and without her in the world the sun seems to have dimmed a little. Gina is a vibrant and colorful character, full of love and life. She only sees the upside of life, until…

I kept thinking, how can I fall in love with a novel that is all about romance, no murder, no horror, you know, those ugly things in “life”. Well the ugly does rear its head and it comes in human form.

I am surprised and delighted by how much I enjoyed Mending Heartstrings. The romance was real, with all the ups and downs that make us know we are alive and in love.

I received a copy of Mending Heartstrings by Aria Glazki in return for an honest review.

4.0 out of 5 stars I have a good excuse, though 9 July 2016
By Lloyd Russell - The Book Sage - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Since May 3, I have read 3 romances (and a partial 4th, although it was more literary fiction than straight romance). I have a good excuse, though. The 1st 2, A Taste of Sugar (Marina Adair) and Reckless in Love (Jennifer Skully and Bella Andre), are both tied to the RBC. This 3rd one, though, has a slightly different connection. Aria Glazki, the author of Mending Heartstrings, is coming to Recycle Books next Sunday, the 17th, to sign books. I thought it would be a good idea if I read it before her appearance. And because I'm a manly man, I read this one unemotionally and without any connection to the characters whatsoever...yeah, right.

Okay, I really liked these characters and connected to them immediately. In fact, I got a few chills and smiled a bunch right away. And there are tons of tears and lots of smiles all though the book Lest you think I am part woman, let me remind you that I had triple bypass surgery about 4.5 years ago. Everybody knows that a surgery like that can put you more in touch with your emotions (there must be medical proof for this theory - mustn't there?). Now that I've gotten that off my chest, so to speak, I can proceed with the review. Here is the back flap:

Aria proves that no matter how many romances you read (in barely a 2-month period), and how much you already suspect that the boy & girl will end up together, it can still be written in such a way as to suck you in. And I was properly sucked in. I'm going to use one of my favorite devices for telling you what I liked about Mending Heartstrings. It's my usual - The List:

1. With the proper build-up, kissing can be very sexy and romantic. They do not always have to go "all the way." (But even the "all the way" scenes are very tastefully done.)
2. There are several very strong supporting players in this book. In fact, one of them has her own storyline.
3. There is enough light humor to provide some breaks from the romance and drama.
4. The interplay between the 2 main characters is very natural.
5. the male star of the book works in Nashville. He plays regularly at a bar called the Fiddle & Steel. This is just like The Bluebird from TV's Nashville.
6. The writing is very easy but also very effective. Some examples:
"Kane impressively managed to be simultaneously unobtrusive and indispensable."
"Sabella snatched some scissors to open it. Vivid fabrics reached out of the box as
though seeking air they had long been denied."
"You say you can't even always control the characters in stories that you make up;
you have no hope of trying to control or predict real life."

I'm suggesting (again!) that if you are in the mood for a romance, this one fits the bill. It's really good.
