Product Description

*** From USA Today Bestselling author MJ Fields***

From bedroom performances to center stage, Memphis Black’s dreams have come true.

Together with his band mates—Finn, River, and Billy B—he takes some time for fun in the sun in Miami while gathering inspiration to finish their first full-length album. Some down time before hitting the road to tour the country, spreading their kind of rock like an STD.

Tallia Priest, a preacher’s daughter grew up next door to Madison Black, her polar opposite and very best friend. Tallia has harbored a crush on Madison’s older brother Memphis for a lifetime.

A boy like him would never notice a girl like her, yet he did … once.

After a tough freshman year of college, Madison invites Tallia to join her in Miami for a much needed break. Madison fails to mention they will be staying with ‘Steel Total Destruction.’

When Tallia arrives, there is no way for a stunned Memphis to miss the transformation of the once awkward, innocent girl next door.

Forbidden desires must be hidden, lines cannot be blurred, and no one can ever know.

Will the heat in Miami tempt them even further? Will buried secrets destroy lives? Can a broken heart ever be mended?

It’s all fun and games until someone gets rocked.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great new Rocker series will Men of Steel attitude! 7 November 2015
By Suzi (Obsessive Reading Disorder) - Published on Amazon.com

I’m a big fan of friends to lovers stories. Also a huge fan of the Men of Steel books by this author. And, MJ Fields can write some s3xy-ass men! Memphis Black hits all those categories for me. This is the first book in a spin off series of the Men of Steel series. Xander Steel and his wife have taken to promoting up and coming bands. Steel Total Destruction or STD is the epitome of young rockers out on the road for the first time. If you are looking for a sweet, mild love story, this is not for you.

Memphis is a total party machine. Any band who has condom launchers at their concerts is bound to be ready to celebrate all the time. The band decides to take a little break before heading out on the road as headliners. A beach full of beautiful women sounds perfect. That is until Memphis sister Madison and her best childhood friend Tallie decide to come hang out as well. Memphis protective instincts go into high gear when he sees Tallie. She is no longer the awkward neighbor girl from his youth. He is not about to let her out of his sight.

Tallie is a super sweet young lady who has been dealt a bad hand recently. She is needing a break before moving on to the next chapter of her life. She does not expect that the man she has lusted over from afar would ever be interested in her. She doesn’t want to mess up her friendship with either of the siblings, but can’t help her attraction to Memphis.

This story has humor. I mean really, the band’s name is STD! Plus typical sister/brother fun and the ribbing only true friends can give one another. It has some super steamy scenes between Memphis and Tallie. This is a fun NA read. I am looking forward to seeing what the rest of the bandmates get up to in the next books. I have a feeling they are going to fall just as hard as Memphis and Tallie.
3.0 out of 5 stars So...it was okay. 26 July 2016

At first, I wasn't sure if I was actually going to be able to finish it. Memphis' maturity level was hard to swallow in the beginning. Nevertheless, this was my first MJ read and I wanted to give her a fair shake; I committed myself to the first 25% of the novel, and when I made it that far, I decided that I wanted to stick around until the end.
All-in-all, it's not bad story, but it left me dizzy.
There were a few different conflict hurdles that Memphis and Tales had to jump over; the problem for me was the way they were handled. It was like...bullet points. I was thrust into one conflict, spun around, pushed out and then dragged into another. Then repeat. A lot of the resolution was kind of glossed over in a bunch of dialogue, but not so much narrative, which made it hard for me to get attached to the characters on an emotional level. I wanted Memphis and Tales to fall in love, but I can't really say that I fully grasped how they got there in the story I was given. Part of that had to do with the way time was handled throughout.
In any case, I did enjoy Tales as a character. She kept me invested in the story, and she carried me to the end. I'm not convinced that I'll read anymore in this particular series, but I might. MJ did spark some interest in her other series, by mentioning certain characters I assume she's written about, so I might try those on for size.

Memphis and his band are on the verge of making it big. All he cares about are performing on the stage and in the bedroom with countless women.
Telly has lived her life under the control of her preacher father. But just as she is finally getting her own chance things go wrong, her dad dies, her shot at Julliard with it. To lick her wounds she decides to go with her best friend, Memphis' sister, to spend a week vacationing in Miami. She doesn't know it is with Memphis and his band.
Ok, I get this is a love story, bad boy goes good for good girl, but the idea that she would still be so tempted by him after what she saw when she arrived, and then what he did when he went to the Woodshed just doesn't sit right with me.
I'm on to Finn's story and hoping for more.

5.0 out of 5 stars I Love Memphis!!!! 4 November 2015

This Book!!! Amazing!!!
I absolutely love a bad boy rocker changed by love.
Memphis was all SEX, little bit of drugs and a whole lot of Rock n Roll. His sexy flirting hooked me!
Tally was honestly the preachers daughter sweet pure and innocent. All giggly and shy when he would flirt, she was adorable.
This couple is the perfect example of opposites attraction.
I could not put it down!! This book had it all somewhat of a forbidden story (he is her best friends brother), angst, a bit of family drama, a whole band of hot rockers, and an ex b#tch stirring up a little trouble. Can't wait for the next one in this series!

5.0 out of 5 stars An STD You Will Want 1 September 2015
By Elizabeth Clinton - Published on Amazon.com

Move over world there is a new Rockstar in town and his name is Memphis Black and he is the lead singer in the new band called STD (Steel Total Destruction).
Where do you even begin to describe Memphis but just Hot Ass Rocker, loyal son, loyal brother and loyal to his band mates and loyal to Forever Four where no other than Xaiver and Irish Steel has given him his shot at fame along with River,Billy and Finn. Four unknown up and coming Rockers who become an opening act for Burning Souls to becoming an headliner.
One thing Memphis never new he wanted was always staring him in the face was his little sisters best friend but years later when Tallie Priest reappears in his life all grownup things just heat up and you can feel that chemistry coming right off the pages.
Their story takes us on one hell of of a roller coaster ride but it's the ride of a rockstar and a good girl but it's also a ride you don't want to get off until you see it all played out.
MJ Fields has given us some hot men to drool over but Memphis Black takes us to a whole other level and this is one band that will have you coming back for more
