Product Description

Elle was never broken.
She wasn't shattered.
And she sure as hell never needed to be saved.
That is,
until she found out what the aftermath of love was capable of causing.

Doing her best to stay afloat amidst the sh!t storm that has become her life, Elle is hanging on by a thread. Between worrying about Fernie’s precarious future, an incident with a Shemar Moore look-alike gone terribly wrong, and an inability to let go of her feelings for J, Elle just can’t seem to get her head straight.

Deciding a change of atmosphere is what she needs, Elle heads to Mexico to study abroad for a semester.

She has no idea that she is walking into an even worse storm.

One that involves a pissed off MC President, a ruthless drug cartel, and a man willing to die to have her light

Ok before you even think of reading this you have to read Steel and Ice and J Speaks, unless you do you will miss so much, no doubly you will enjoy the story as it is very well told but you won't enjoy it as much as you should.
The third in the series and just wait there is more to come and yes before you ask it is another one, another cliffhanger that has us trying to turn pages that aren't there to find out what happens next.
Once again seen through the eyes of Elle but with a much greater appreciation of J after reading J Speaks, we are once again caught up in a world so different but that becomes so real, the characters so alive that you really are part of the action.
Elle is really struggling after the events of S&I and who could blame her, Chris her BFF is being wonderful but knowing how much Elle loves her space it's not long before she is on her own, but what about J with what he did, Chris so mad at him and not letting him near Elle, and Elle not sure what she wants.
This book is really about finding yourself after you've lost yourself due to events beyond your control, can you ever go back to the person you once were or do you change and evolve. Elle is not sure she can't seem to get back on her feet, but the kids at the centre are the ones she finds really help her, playing messenger between Fernie and Genesis and reading their letters help her to better understand her relationship with J.
Josè becomes a much larger character as the story progresses and I found myself wondering about his intent at times. Aaron is back with all his large gestures and Larry who can't seem to get past his crush.

wow, great read. There isn't a lot of J in this book, but he is talked about a lot in this. Elle has to come to an understanding about being shot by J. She is shattered. Her head tells her one thing, but her heart tells her another. You do need to read the previous books in this series before reading this one. We get to see a whole different side of Elle in this book. Her emotional side. And she gets very emotional. I really felt bad for her. You can see the changes that she's going through. Can't wait to read more. I still wish it was in duel POV. Oh and we can't forget about Jose either. I'm really liking him.

2.5-3 stars

Honestly, most the 50-60% of the book was completely irrelevant to the story and nothing but a waste of time. I really didn't need page after page after page of Elle and her crying and sobbing. She was a wreck. We get it. Move on.

I think this could have been a much better story, a more rounded and interesting story, had we gotten dual POVs. It would have been nice to have J's POV from time to time. What he's as doing was likely more exciting than Elle's constant tears.

I don't know if I even want to keep reading. I'm sadly disappointed in the series as a whole. The first one started strong, but now we are fizzling out. We shall see.

I really do like this Series .. the story continues with J (the Hulking Hunk) & Elle (fiery) Elle .. you see a much softer side of Elle in this Book .... & a really conflicted J... & as I was mowing my lawns today thinking that I wish I was reading instead of doing what I was doing that it was going to end up the why I thought it would go dam it!! Always HOT, more drama in this one, & a WT# to finish.... on to the next... & I'm hoping it's not a Cliffy... So If You've Started this Series Don't Give Up Now People ... Let's get to the end....... Go One Click this Book... Find Out !! :-)

Holy Moses, this one was amazing. I was so definitely captivated, I truly felt drawn in by the author, the story line and the characters. The interaction between these main characters was amazing, the drama, the back and forth, was interesting. I started to read it and couldn't put it down. The cliffhanger what the heck! OMG, leave you on the edge of your seat, holy crap! Now I am anxious for the next book to read. Good series.
