This puzzle is exactly what I wanted. I love things with gears and this fits the bill. Deceptively easy looking yet is a challenge to solve. If you get stuck, watch the YouTube videos to solve it. Very well made with strong plastic construction. Should last through many solves. Nice intro to twisty type puzzles. Buy it!
Fun and easy once you figure it out.

The gear aspect is neat and fun to play with. One or two of the gears are ever so slightly tight, and can't spin extremely freely like I'd expect of a speedcube, but this isn't a speedcube anyways. After solving it a dozen times and breaking it in, it turns pretty great. Really love the feel of the weight and the quality of the stickers.
Great, but maybe design flaw.

I don't know... It's good, had the corner pop out, but that's not a problem that I can't fix. The reason I gave 4 stars is becuase of the performance. When I split it in half, it wants to always come back together, making speedy solves pretty much impossible. Maybe I got one that's just a bit weird.
3.5/5 DECENT CUBE

The Mefferts Oskar Gear Shift is an ok cube.It is not very challenging, but it is a fun pick up and go puzzle. My only complaints would have to be that the slide apart mechanism seems to be a bit loose and it also appears I have received a different model than shown in the pictures. The stickers are of ok quality, but the scheme is off. On my cube white is opposite purple, yellow opposite black, and green opposite blue. However, the colors are not used in comparison to one another in the solving of this puzzle as in others. Overall it is a fun puzzle and decent cube.
