Excellent product, does exactly what I wanted it to.

If you're looking to use this on Dolphin emulator you CAN but make sure you get the official driver from MayFlash first. The generic game controller driver from Microsoft won't be as well calibrated and might not support force feedback. Also you'll still have to configure the input in Dolphin manually, I found that the "GameCube adapter for Wii U" didn't work.

You also need to use both USB connectors if you want force feedback. Black one is for data, grey one is to power the force feedback feature.

Works as expected with the Wii U (although only Smash Bro's supports GameCube controllers unfortunately) and now it works with the Switch which lets me use it more often and I don't have to spend as much on different controllers for multiplayer. All switch games support this adapter, but because the GameCube controllers have less buttons and no gyros some games don't work that well but games like Mario kart work perfectly.

This adapter also works on PC with the Dolphin emulator perfectly.

Best Adapter On The Market

Bought this adapter to breathe some life into my GameCube controllers for the Switch. It comes with a y style USB cable (seen in the pictures). The black one is for controller input and the grey one is for rumble.

**Nintendo Switch**
This adapter works great for the Nintendo Switch. You need to turn it into Wii U mode and pair it in the controller settings. The controllers are read as generic USB Controllers. Able to use it pretty much every game, but not every game is playable due to the number of buttons on the GameCube controller (For example, there aren't enough triggers for Breath of the Wild). Some games let you remap buttons, enabling compatibility with GameCube controllers, but Mario Kart 8 Deluxe works perfectly out of the box.

**Wii U**
Works as expected for Smash Bros. Nothing special here. This is probably the reason why most people are buying this adapter.

**PC - Dolphin Emulator**
Dolphin Emulator has support for this adapter. It works fine. Being able to play Melee and other GameCube games with a GameCube controller is much better than mouse and keyboard, and personally I prefer it over the Xbox and Dualshock controllers.

**PC - CEMU Emulator**
CEMU is where this adapter disappoints. It's not the adapter's fault however, CEMU just does not offer official native support for the GameCube adapters as of me writing this review.

With the drivers, the left analog stick is off center. Prime example of this issue is how the cursor diagonal movement is faster than left and right in the Smash Bros character select screen. Holding the stick in the top-right position, the cursor goes more vertically than horizontally (not the perfect 45 degrees it's supposed to go).

I bought this so that I could use my old GameCube controller on my PC. The MayFlash website is a bit confusing, but this model is W012 on there. You will need the drivers as Microsoft's generic drivers aren't enough for the Dolphin software. There is no 32 bit support, as is to be expected and is standard now. The buttons still need mapping in Dolphin, but once done, this is a flawless solution. I can now play GameCube games with a GameCube controller instead of the X-Box controller. Dolphin also has Donkey Kong bongo support, which is excellent. I haven't tried it with my Wii U, but since I don't play the Smash games, and from what I can gather it's the only game supported, it isn't an issue for me.

It's a Gamecube-USB interface. I only use it with a computer, so I can't comment on it's capability of adapting for a Wii U.
The construction is solid enough - its very light - and the cable is long. It instantly interfaces with the Dolphin emulator, with no need for any further setup or configuration, the only point to make regarding this is to ensure the switch on the back is set to "Wii" even when using with a PC running Dolphin.

Great value for money, safe for controllers

Mayflash adapters are great value for money compared to official ones. I use it for my Switch setup at every Smash tournament I attend. Works as intended.

With a lot of cheap third-party adapters you run the risk of stiff ports which can actually strip the plug from the GCC, essentially destroying the controller. In my experience this never happens with Mayflash adapters because the design of the ports is very similar to official ones.

In recent months I have heard sporadic cases of these adapters ceasing to register controllers occasionally, which in a tournament setting is obviously a big deal. A shame to hear this as Mayflash has always had very good build quality. If you have the money and you go to tournaments, get an official one to avoid this. Otherwise the value-for-money of the Mayflash is too good to pass up imo.

Like many people I had wanted to get the Super Smash Bros and Gamecube adapter bundle but it looks like Nintendo underestimated or couldn't get the numbers. I had seen this adapter but thought I would just wait for the official one to come back into stock. After many weeks I grew impatient and decided to go ahead and purchase this, and I'm glad I did.

I have three Gamecube controllers going into this, which then is plugged into my Wii U and it plays just perfectly. There is no lag and the controls are really crisp. As a bonus you can use it to connect Gamecube controllers to a PC to use as joysticks.

This is going to function like the official adapter so for now the only game it works with is Super Smash Bros (Wii U), I guess any further compatibility will depend on Nintendo making their official adapter compatible with other games.
For now though, it does exactly what I wanted it to and has ended many weeks of frustration and annoyance so i'm giving it 5 stars.

It works but is a little bit fiddly. I am using a third party GC controller with turbo feature (which I do not enable).
I connect it to the Nintendo Switch then power on. I go to the Find Controllers screen and wait a moment, then plug in the controller. If the turbo lights come on, I unplug, wait, and try again. When the controller is plugged in and the lights are not on I then wait a moment and use the buttons on the right not the control stick nor C stick.
I exit and I see the controller appear along the bottom. It took a few goes to get the process right, but now it is reliable.

Works well, All ports work equally with no latency. Official and 3rd party controllers work with it. No problems with WiiU

For PC, if you plug in only one of the USBs (It does matter which, one is required, the other is additional but I don't remember which colour is which) then it works - sorta. It registers all of the ports equally again, but only one controller can be accessed at a time, meaning, you can set it up in dolphin with all 4 controllers no problem, but in game, only port one can be used. The others will remain disconnected. That controller will also not have vibrational feedback.

When both are plugged in, it works a treat with no problems. Just a cool little tidbit.

Bought for a Nintendo-mad boyfriend who has recently bought himself a WiiU and Super Smash Brothers. Like many others, he prefers to play the game using the GameCube controller. Due to the official Nintendo GameCube adapter being out of stock EVERYWHERE- and any that you can find being ridiculously overpriced- I decided to give this a go and bought it as a birthday present for him. The reviews I had read looked positive, and I really wanted an adapter that would allow for co-operative play when his friends come round.

I was a little dubious when it arrived, as the packaging wasn't great and the box didn't look too impressive or very "official"- but on giving it a try, it is perfect. Very easy to set up and use with the WiiU (we haven't tried it with the PC yet but are hoping to soon), and works a treat. No lagging on the gameplay and is just perfectly compatible, it works so well.

Thank you very much to MayFlash for producing an adapter that isn't just affordable, but also that works brilliantly. We've played it with 4 of us on GameCube controllers and it still works just as well.
